107 Breaks & 6 Chances

It's not hard to record a video and put it on youtube and set it to private so it can only be viewed by people who have the direct link, all from an iphone.
I was going to say the same thing. Get a YT account. Upload videos. Make it public, or private to those who have the link. Share the link, such as posting the link here on a response in this thread. Can o’ corn. No excuses.

Does YouTube charge for doing this? Or is it all free?

And my problem is that I can't seem to send videos from my IPhone. Not sure what the problem is but I've never been able to do it.

youtube is free.

You need a youtube account (you probably already have one if you can comment on other people's videos).
Then you record a video on your phone. Do it with the camera sideways. Edit it if you wish using iMovie on your phone to cut out any dead space, etc, or leave it as-is.

Then go to the youtube app on the phone. On the very bottom middle is a + sign. Click it, and it will say upload video. It will go to your Photo's camera roll, where you will be able to select the video (may have to give the app permission). The next screen will have a place to give it a title, etc.

On that screen is the "visibility" setting. 3 choices. Public, Private, Unlisted. You want either public or unlisted. Public anyone can find it if they know what to search for. Unlisted means only people with a link can view it. Post the link here.

YouTube app on my phone???

Don't have one.

Besides being a worthless pool player I am just about computer illiterate.
Go to the app store on your phone, type in youtube. Install it.

Can you comment on youtube videos? If so, you already have a YT account. Log into that acct on the iPhone YT app. If you don't, make an account from your phone once the app downloads.

You can't "download" videos from your phone and share them anywhere online, or over email, or on AZB, etc. Because they are HUGE files. The only way to reasonably share them is to use Youtube, or one of the other video sites like Vimeo, etc. YT is by far the most popular one.

I've posted this before. These pics are so typical. As you can see balls went in and the balls spread out. But there is no chance to run out here. This is what happens 95% of the time - or more.
Ex 2 is a dead out. Are you saying 95% of the time it's 50/50? Wrong pic?

I'm hopeful the renovation going on at the Billiards & Bowling Pavillion at the resort in French Lick will have some leagues, local tournaments, etc, etc. I am planning on going down there in the near future and stop at their Public Affairs office and see if they can tell me anything.
Considering the cost and general vibe of the place that I get from the website, there will never, ever be any league at French Lick. Or at least, not past the first night of league.

What's your CB been like on the 144 racks? Your OB spread on the 2 pictures posted in this thread is about perfect. If you get a spread similar to those every break, and control the CB, you will have tons of opportunities to get out.

You'll probably get more value and what to work on if you track where the CB goes for the next 144 racks, rather than if you think the rack is runnable. Also if the CB is going different places each rack, it means you don't have the accuracy to hit the rack consistently.

Either play the CB to mid table, or, draw it to the head rail to play the 1 if the one comes down there.

Or, best yet, do whatever Neils says in his video linked earlier.

As some may realize I had new Apple Green Simonis 860 put on the Gold Crown IV a couple of weeks ago. The last two days I have been doing nothing but racking and breaking racks of 9-Ball. After the first ten or so breaks with either nothing down, no shot, or both I decided to keep track.

The final numbers the last two days are 107 breaks and only 6 chances to run out. And yes, I realize Efren might have had maybe ten chances to run out. But that was it.

And to answer any questions:
1) Yes, I've had the dehumidifier running.
2) Yes, I've changed CB positions.
3) Yes, I've changed speeds.
4) Yes, I've changed CBs.
5) Yes, I am using a template.

This type of futility just ruins my enthusiasm for the game.

New cloth should increase throwing a ball on the break, they pocket easier and run longer.

As a player all you can do it work to
- control the cueball
- make the 1 in the side and/or the wing ball
- control the speed, so you can play the 1 up table for the first shot (if you aren't playing to make it into the side)

These things all change under new conditions.
Practice practice practice. If you are a runout player the break is critical....if you run 3 balls on average, there's other stuff to work on.
