For those of you who believe or want to give well wishes. I have had differences with Marty but he is one of pools characters. I realized in life as I have gotten older to not hold grudges and that life is too short and precious.
For sure. We need to forgive and have understanding.Good for you, Fast Lenny, for showing grace, a rare commodity in today's world.
I too have seen the good, the bad, and the, well, not-so-good side of Marty over the years. He's a member of God's human family, like we all are, and capable of errors in judgment.
I do wish him a speedy recovery and for him to be back in the saddle again ASAP.
That's pretty harsh, but there's people out there that I feel the same way.this isnt pool church. say it as it is with him. just because he is sick drooling all over him is ridiculous.
What's the point? Any idiot can tear something down, but building something requires far greater skills. Plus, there is real grace in forgiving and letting go of all the rancid emotion required to hate. Finally, which one of you hasn't fucked-up? I have. Bad. Regretfully, I'll probably do it again. I need forgiveness, and to get it, I best be ready to give it.It’s genuinely refreshing to see some of the positive posts in this thread. I’ve never been a fan of kicking someone when they’re down, whether I like them or not. It can be tough to read some of the mean-spirited, negative comments without responding, especially when it often feels like the same voices return again and again just to add more negativity.
A little more balance and a little more grace would go a long way.

Marty played good, real good. And he is a highly intelligent man. Even though we disagreed on more than one occasion I still consider him a friend. That's pretty harsh, but there's people out there that I feel the same way.
I meet Marty many years ago in Boston early in my flying career. We gambled playing some 9ball. I lost but it was pretty close. We hit it off pretty well as pool friends. He invited me to Boston to do some training, but I was never able to that. I didn't know him at all really, but he was very nice to me. I lost track of him many years ago.
