Live Stream of Borana and OMGWTF this Saturday (MAY 15th)

AAAAAARGH! Problems with the stream just before Borana went up 5-1... Never seen this on OTR before (but don't watch TOO often)... Been waiting for this for weeks and even have my sweetie watching this with me EDIT... WE ARE GOOD FOR NOW...

    Dean and Drawman complete

Very Beautiful... love the color scheme for the blue one. The signature/date looks gaudy and rough, though, against those light colors in such a key part of the design. Not that I can't understand wanting to sign your name proudly on either one of those...

    Vintage cue questions...nylon insert?

That was my response too... I have seen some of his closeups in other threads and they are amazing... Almost makes it seem daunting to begin a collection with that to live up to. Oh well... though this cue may not be anything of note, I will find more to show in the future. Looking for 1/2 a...

    Vintage cue questions...nylon insert?

So do I drive the 45 mile roundtrip to go back to the Garage Sale on the off-chance that the one with the broken tip might still be there? Still looking to start my collection...

    Vintage cue questions...nylon insert?

Thanks... I knew that Huebler was one of the few prod. cues to use nylon inserts, but this certainly did not look like one from what I have seen displayed on this site. Is it common to have the wrap lacquered over? Purely decorative? It does not make sense to me... seems to be a sign of a...

older cue questions... nylon insert and lacquered wrap

--- first posted in Main Forum--- figured this might be the better forum--- Today my sweetie and I picked up this cue at a garage sale for $5. He claimed that it was his father's and from the 60's, but were there nylon inserts used in the the 60s or 70s? The cue is horribly warped in the shaft...

    Vintage cue questions...nylon insert?

Today my sweetie and I picked up this cue at a garage sale for $5. He claimed that it was his father's and from the 60's, but were there nylon inserts used in the the 60s or 70s? The cue is horribly warped in the shaft and slightly in the butt. It is exactly 19 1/2 oz and, interestingly...

    which state wins?

WELLLLL.... From a recent thread, i would have to say that Washington (State ;) ) should have an interesting time of it as they apparently are the only bangers that play in bars anymore on an 8'. I know that some have said that the closer confines result in issues that a 'large table' player...

Song that made you play your heart out?

Not exactly upbeat, but "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd. Best ballad IMHO. Or, to get in that 'trance' state, maybe "Shine on You Crazy Diamond." ----- Was in the middle of shooting league the other night (hitting the 5th ball of my 7ball run- unusual for me) and some goon played...

    Going undefeated in your league?

NO No NO no NO no and NO. I enjoy bashing the APA as much as the next guy, but your brazen dismissal is inappropriate and wrong. He SHOULD be proud of his run (BTW Dawg... congrats! I can't string three-in-a-row together). From what I have experienced firsthand and from opinions on this...

    Which New Cuemaker

My first decent cue was a simple Heubler conversion made by Craig at Fullsplice billiards... (Believe he goes by "MANWON" on this forum with a disturbing dog as his avatar  ) I think when I purchased mine there was a considerable list, but it has and will continue to serve me well...

    End of league tournement

It is the indian... he never has tables for me to shoot on at his local casino so I get stuck losing $100s on BJ. Congrats on the league tourney... which league was it, by the way? In house?

    Vegas!!

Hehe... If you love 7 foot threadbare $2 game tables with cues and racks you have to check out from the adjacent pokerroom, then EXCALIBUR is the place to be. Was just there for the last 5 days. Didn't make it to a real poolhall, so cannot help you except for the sarcastic comment. There...

    Another look at APA

By the way, for those of you hungry to know the inner operations of APA, the LO's respone to this evening and the many 'issues' was to award no points in 8 ball for either team. "Instead of taking the time to find actual fault or responsibility, you will both lose your points for the evening."

    Another look at APA

I have been am member of APA 1 year and now play on a Doub. Jeop., 9ball, and 8ball team. Have been a 2, 3, and 4 in both. Currently a 3 in 8 / 4 in 9. I love playing members who are better than I, regardless of their skill level. Two weeks ago, for double jeopardy, I was put up in 9ball by my...

    green or red predator sneakies

I am pretty certain (was told by an old hustler) that the red is for 9 and the green is for 8 ball. Eight ball players become green with envy when they look over at the red-hot 9 ball shooters. Lol... great thread all... keep it going

Malarkeys Pool & Brew in Tacoma, WA.

It is a beautiful thing as a new-ish player to hear from a room owner who knows and cares about the intricacies of his pool room. My only real exposure to pool is through my three APA teams, and I make it down to Malarkey's solely to shoot with my father who lives two blocks from Malarkey's...
