I recall, when I was a Hard Times (Bellflower) Houseman, holding $4k for a seven ahead 9-Ball match between Keith & Mark on table 1.
The set was over in 45 minutes- with Mark the winner. This was 1990 I believe.
Most thought this was a close match. I knew better as I'd played them both; beating Keith with the 5-Ball, and losing to Mark with the 5 & 7. Lol!
Meanwhile, Mark wouldn't have had a chance to defeat Keith when Keith was in his prime.
I beat Nick Varner in the '80s in Rockville, MD. Most people there thought it was close, but I knew the difference. Yep, that's the JAM and Nick story.
I can't wait for the stories to come out about Shane when Shane gets beat by so-and-so. People will forget how great Shane was and only remember the time he got beat.
Bunch of knockers on this forum.
both of these players were among the best I ever saw
to get an accurate rating lets hope Keith replies or Billy Incardone
I was at cuetopia in Las Vegas one day and Mark Tad was warming up to possibly play Billy, just knocking balls into the hole
He hit about 10 banks in a row into the hole at about the speed that most people break at 9 ball
I would think both of these guys were close to Keith but I don't have the talent to evaluate them that
accurately
Cole was somewhat of a baseball player in his youth,he seemed to enjoy talking about that more than his pool ,at least with me where is mark Tad these days?
Last time I talked with Mark he expressed an interest in the Bible and was hoping to change his life,I would be interested to hear about him
The 2 times I watched Tadd at Derby City, 9 ball, tourney, not hustling, he lost , but gave me the impression he wasn't going 100%. Both times he was playing great players but it was too many years ago to remember who.

Like, would you say they would be able to play Archer, Strickland, or Reyes in their primes even in 9-ball and be able to come out winner in a long set? I don't know why these 2 intrigue me so much, but I'd love some tape of them if anyone has any.
