I wanted to let everyone know that
my husband,Joe Calnan has passed away.
I recieved the call this morning from
our daughter. I don't have any particulars
but I thought everyone needed to hear this
from me before anyone else posted about it.
When I have more info I will let you all know.

I know Joe had alot of friends on this forum.
I wanted to be sure that everyone knew what
was going on. My daughter and I are working on
what has to be done. Please let me know if there
is anything that he had working with anyone so
we can get it takin care of.

Thank you
Norma Calnan

It saddens me deeply to hear this, I bought a cue from Joe and he was a stand up guy for sure. I'm sorry for your loss Ma'am

Joe was a fine and honest man. We had a few transactions that were always honest and open.

I pray for you and your family at this difficult time.

God Bless,

My condolences. I had the chance to meet Joe at a tournament. Nice guy he will be missed. Has anyone informed Eydie Ramano? I know they were friends.

He was a big guy with a big heart and a big smile. One of the nicest people I have ever met from this forum. RIP.

Thanks David for posting this photo of the very handsome Daytona Joe. And he could play too!

Norma, I'm so sorry to hear this. Your husband was a great guy and a pleasure to have at pool tournaments. He was friends with every pool player he met. He was a real "pool man"! Do you have any more photos of Joe you can post on here, especially of Joe playing the game we all love? Your husband was a good player and a really nice guy!

I just spoke with Eydie on the phone, and she had already heard the news.

Here is another picture of Joe ...

I just spoke with Eydie again and she is very upset over Joe's passing, too upset to make a post at this time. She is in contact with Joe's family, and she wanted me to let everybody know that when she is able to post that she will update everybody about this situation. Eydie and Joe were very good friends, and this is a painful loss to the entire Windy City Open family.
