“Red” Fisher played in Dallas, TX

I played with red back in the 50s and 60s and 80s as did jack potter on here

he was a big strong athletic guy in the 60s and played a good game of pool
left handed

i have not seen or heard from him in years now

One of my best friends

Red and I were friends and partners for for many years. We took quite a few
road trips together. His wife Carol and my wife were also close and we all
spent a lot of time together. He and Carol moved to California in the mid 70's
which was where her family was from. She was a very nice well educated
lady, and I don't think her family was overjoyed with her choice of a husband.
After a few years Red came back to Dallas minus Carol. We continued partnering
up for years booking very few losers. Red was quite a character and I have
many funny stories.

@jpott I remember meeting you and your wife at your house when I drove to pick up those two cues you had.

There is a whole lot of Barney Fifery in this thread:thumbup:

To the OP I think it is cool that you are able to hear from a few folks on here that knew your dad!:)

Oh sorry... yes I am and I was just wanting to hear a couple of stories regarding my father since I’ve been missing him a lot lately! He was my best friend, poker playing partner, and many more things important in my life.
