Top 5 countries from which views took place:
1.) United States - 74.3K
2.) Indonesia - 9.3K
3.) Canada - 8.9K
4.) Philippines - 8.7K
5.) United Kingdom - 5.6K
I was surprised Indonesia made the top 5, but I wasn't surprised the Philippines did. Those Filipinos really like their pool and do everything it takes to get better.
Cheers,
Dave
Truly an amazing accomplishment. You have put a lot of effort into this and have busted more myths than Mythbusters.
Thank you.Yah! Congratulations Dave!
Joey,Dave should come out with a MYTHBUSTERS dvd.
Obviously, I need to do a better job at attracting the ladies, but I've always had a problem with that. :grin-square:One great thing about YouTube is all of the statistics it tracks.
For example, here are some interesting results for last month:

Thanks for looking at the per-capita numbers. I'm actually not surprised by Canada. I get lots of DVD orders from Canada. Maybe the longer and colder winters keep them inside playing pool more than in milder climates.I suspect that on a "per capita basis" the Philippines is a clear #1. (Edit: actually not the case; Canada has the most views on a per capita basis, followed by U.S., tie between Philippines and UK, followed by Indonesia last.)Top 5 countries from which views took place:

I was also a little surprised with this also; but, like you, I think it is a good thing.Nice to see the amount of 25-34 viewers. I'd have guessed that most viewers were old farts (like me).Top 5 age ranges of viewers:
1.) 30% - ages 25-34
2.) 25% - ages 18-24
3.) 16% - ages 35-44
4.) 9% - ages 45-54
5.) 8% - ages 65+
Aha, it's your fault we don't have a bigger population. Thanks for looking at the per-capita numbers. I'm actually not surprised by Canada. I get lots of DVD orders from Canada. Maybe the longer and colder winters keep them inside playing pool more than in milder climates.

Sorry about that. I know that much of Canada is not a winter wasteland. I've been in and around Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary, so I know how pleasant parts of Canada can be. I also hope I get to visit Van Couver some day because that area seems to be awesome.Aha, it's your fault we don't have a bigger population. Thanks for looking at the per-capita numbers. What can the pool world do to get more females interested in our sport (besides having "chick magnets" like me posting more YouTube videosObviously, I need to do a better job at attracting the ladies, but I've always had a problem with that. :grin-square:One great thing about YouTube is all of the statistics it tracks.

Unfortunately not the ladies man,
Dave
Thanks.10,000,000 YouTube views, of which 90% were male viewers.......where exactly is the cleavage in the videos? Or maybe there's some gratuitous violence I missed? </sarcasm>
The question you pose regarding how to get more females interested in pool just may be THE key to rejuvenating the game. If there were more females directly participating in the game rather than being pool widows, there would be more male participation as well. I lost a league team member a couple of weeks ago because his girlfriend didn't like him playing.
On the flip side, I have seen a lot of young couples that appear to be on a first date at the pool tables lately. If you think about it, it's actually a great thing to do on a first date; it can be as interactive, or non-interactive as you'd like. The problem is, after a few racks they get discouraged and I never see the same two again. Maybe get a female co-host (Samm?) in a 2-3 minute video to provide extremely basic guidance to a casual player that's never played before. Content might be "wear flat shoes" and "keep the cue level". Just give them enough guidance that they'll be able to enjoy the game rather than be intimidated by it. If your first experience with pool is a positive one, you'll be more likely to play again.
Great Job Dr. Dave, thanks for promoting the game!
