1902 G Balabushka

balabushka

Signed Bushkas are pretty much just the low end production cues. You could just buy this cue new from billiardwarehouse:

Balabushk GB5

Balabushica?

 Funny, no picture of the signature. What's a Balabushica?? Is that some kind of Boca Raton talk like a Rolexica watch. How does a seller like that stay at 99.9 feedback.  More like 2002. maybe?

I sent them an email asking the significance of '1902'... that seems a bit misleading since they don't reference it in the description. Will see if/what they reply.

LOL :D :D :D :D :D

how about that for fine print.. may not be precise or complete, only about 100 years of not being "precise".. lol I "approximate" value of being worth less then 100 bux in current condition... lol..

AGE:

Consignor purchased approximately 1998-1999

This is a beautiful signed George Balabushka pool cue with case, and a must have for the serious player or for the player who just wants to look good. The photos say it all!

Descriptions are only general and may not be precise or complete; and measurements are approximate.

That 1902 I would think is 19oz as it states it was made in 98-99. Good way to get people to look at it.

Sleight of hand

Actually, it states 'consignor purchased approximately 1998-1999'.

I like the fine print "very little wobble if any".

You know the funny thing is that consignor doesn't realize he could probably take that cue over to that ritzy pool hall in Boca Raton any night and get at least $300 bucks or more. WALDO have you seen that place?? To tell you the truth I perfer the no couch approach you guys took. I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed your room a few years ago when I came thru Daytona.

I just sold a GB-8.

Honestly, they play fantastic.

I hate the "lack of figure" forearm maple they use as it is rather unimpressive. But they sticks play Really well.

I sold my GB-8 for $350.00 after I had it re-wrapped.....

Since it is supposed to be a replica they use straight grain maple. Thats what George liked to use. Who makes these cues? I know I can get them from Competition sports but they are a distributor.

I'm pretty sure that Adam makes these. They do Helmstetters too, right?

Anyhoo, I hear they do play pretty well...and they don't look bad...it's just when they try to pass them off as the real deal that it's annoying.

Oh well, I'm sure they'll get a ton of hits on the auction...which it seems was their intention, anyway.

Bushka 1902

In regards to the question about the '1902' the seller responded with this:

"According to our consignor, he believes it to be the model number."

Uh huh.. if you're gonna play dumb.. play dumb all the way.

im so sorry but thats funny....
im suprised the explaination wasn't more like "it was made in 19 o'something and thats my .02" Theres nothing like living in the world of buyer beware but thank god there's a reference like like this (and others) for people who at least take a few minutes to google sumthin b4 they drop some $$.

...if God didnt want me to eat animals he wouldnt've made 'em taste like meat..

Honestly....would you place ANYTHING on consignment with a bunch of duds like this?????

it is made by adams-helmstetters. yes, they are signed, but a reproduction sig. the family gave they permission to put it on the cue
