with 2 weeks to go i was wondering what names are out there that havnt been talkked about for the 1o ball ring game? here is a few i think should be in the game,

bobby pickle
billy baily
tony watson
any others you can think of off the top of your head? :D

are all very good barbox players.

and I wonder if rodney morris and billy palmer have a liking for the barbox.

This game is open to the " WORLD ". I think there will be a huge turnout for this one..................
 
I am a little disappointed so far. 2 weeks to go & only 16 players signed up. I believe the deposit was only $500. I would have thought this tournament would be filled by now.
 
well...

im not suprised thats an awfully large entry fee! and the pros know they have time still! plus dan says alot of the players are not the ones calling its their stakes horses that are asking so i wont be suprised if it goes till the last few days to see some deposits coming in! traveling plans and hotels take time to book and working around peoples jobs and things also is sometimes hard to do till the very end! i hope when the dust settles in olathe that there isnt a pro standing there with his 3k in his hand looking for a spot! :eek:
 
I'll be in Shooters Sunday night!

I am driving from Des Moines to Kansas City Sunday afternoon, and spending the night. I'll be showing up at Shooters just to knock some around, and maybe watch some big dogs go at it, if they're around! If any of you are there, please come up and introduce yourself!

I would think Bobby Pickle will make the trek. Bar tables seems to be one of his favorites. :p

Dennis Hatch is another name that would look good on the list.

P.S. SOMEBODY should try to get a hold of Spanish Mike Lebron, many a pool player's friend when it comes to getting staked in tournaments.

It'll fill up. Two weeks? Most of the time, they don't fill up until the day of. I thought it was $3000 entry?

Ohio is awfully quiet right now.

My phone has not rang--haven't talked to Danny in a few months. Hope all is well with him.
 
I would love to see local players Tyler Edey and Edwin Montal play. They are both great bar table players, just look at their results from the national bar table championships, they both also love to gamble and gamble high. But Olathe is an awful long ways away from Calgary so I would be a little surprised to see them make the trip, I guess you never know.

I was fortunate - watched them both play in little ole Great Falls, Montana in March - made the trek down with a bunch of guys from Canada --- there is a strong player out of Medicine Hat with them. Tyler won the whole seebang! Interesting fact --- Great Falls has more league players per capita than any other town in the US of A :)

Amen to Stevie. He is undoubtedly one of the best barbox players on the planet. People that haven't seen him play on the box may not understand how well he manuevers. He is rock solid.

Brian is a great player in his own right and a threat in any event but Stevie is what is considered a top tier player IMO.
