Monday playing an extended session with a team mate I ran 19 balls. This was on an 8foot duffrin with extremely slow cloth. This was was one of my best runs ever, my goal for this year is to get past the 3rd rack.
 
Wow, we've had some fantastic runs recently. We also have some pretty top notch straight pool players on that list, just imagine when Thorsten get's a good session of straight pool going!
 
yep better list this year, also still no sjm, stevel, willie and more 14.1 lovers - come on guys! :p

I've played just two games of straight pool in 2007, got sick during the second, and went home immediately. Will get to it soon. No runs over 40 so far, and I won't report anything less than that.
 
Put me down for a 43 last night in league play. I hope to beat it really soon but want to be on the list!

I played my first game of straight pool tonight in quite some time and the best I could do was 16. Hopefully I can improve on that at some point!
 
I did a measley 35 earlier in the year when I was shooting some straight pool in Singapore during my winter vacation.....straight pool also happens to be a rarity in that area!

Well, I managed to play a race to 150 tonight, at last. My high run was 40, ironic in view of my last post. I'll think of this run as a starting point.

Lucky 43

Well, I guess that 43 is my lucky, or maybe unlucky, number. For the third time in two weeks I had a run has end with that 4th breakshot. Each time I made the ball and scattered the rack, but came out of it tied up and without shot. Maybe it is it just the law of averages that this will eventually happen no matter what you do. It’s a little frustrating, but I'm encouraged that the runs didn't end with a miss.
 
list updated, we got 29 participants in 3 weeks which is just 1 shy of the number we got in the whole of 2006!
 
i made 20 the other day.

only reason for submitting this is to make roy steffensen seem a lesser player than me... :D

I'm with sjm; I haven't had anything over 33 in a match this year; I'm not reporting anything below 50 (so it's possible everyone will think I've died; it may be a while before I post).

I will say that I owe you a drink for failing to break 75 this year (I would be thrilled with a 50)....??Same bet this year - 200 for you, 75 for me???

Well, I never did reach my goal of 50 in 2006. :o Then again, I probably played less than 10 games of 14.1 in 2006!

So, like WBM, I'm going to try for that elusive 50 in 2007!

I need to find a regular game to like 200 or so. The table I've been playing on lately is super tight, so it might be tough.

Thanks Craig,

This was my goal for the year so I’m hoping I can just relax and build on it now that the monkey is off my back. With the way the table opened up in the last rack, I thought 60 or more was within reach. Unfortunately I got a funny roll after a secondary breakout, leaving just one tough shot that I missed. I’ll chalk it up to experience!
