2009 AZ Straight Pool Challenge!

22 on the those shimmed 9' up at Clicks is good. Good to hear that you are getting better & better at our great Sport. I am sorry that we have not been able to play some but the time window is tough. Looking forward to meeting you one day. I have a match next Thursday. up at Clicks for the League, just in case you can stop by and say hello.

Hope to stop by, but Thursday is da wifey's night, gotta keep momma happy :D

Hope you are shooting well and good luck on Thursday....tear'em up....

Very nice shooting, you have a very good pace, towards the end of the second rack if you would of slowed down a touch you may of not had to shoot away the good break shots.

then you go ahead and play the cornerball in the rack (Flyer) like it was a hanger, sorry had to laugh at that point.

your pace also in my opinion made you get careless in the end leaving yourself a tougher shot than what you would wanna shoot with so many other shots on the table.

Keep up the good shooting!
Steve

maybe next time see if you could use a better camera angle, so we here could explain situations a bit easier! Yes we do that here, help each other out !!!

I concur. Nice rhythm but a little too fast. If you stopped to figure out your end patterns, I didn't notice it.

Tough break not getting a good shot at the end, but when you go down below the rack and bump into the bottom, that sometimes happens. Had you stayed on top, you might still be shooting.

new high for '09

ran 59 today, missed a fairly easy combo to end it.

had a 44, a 49 and a 53 in recent weeks. the encouraging thing is that none of these runs contained any flyers or "Hail Mary's". worked the end sequences pretty well, which is a bit of a break through.

rewatched john schmidt's videos again recently- you suppose it's a coincidence???

regards,
jim richards

A little run I had today. Not much but okay for me.

Critique me. I know I should have done it different in the end of the second rack. I still thought I could break the pack off of the four ball, and should have. I am interested in hearing any pocketable balls off of the rack missing the head ball. Seems to come up quite a bit for me. Granted in a match you play safe but just to practice curious if there are any pocketable balls.

9/22/09 new high run for the year

9-22-09. ran a very clean 80,

run ended when I didn't get a good outcome on a break shot and had to bridge over the cluster of balls I'm the rack area on a steep cut into the side pocket. Freaking hit the point ! From there it would have been smooth sailing on the rest of that rack... I think !!!

Back to the drawing board !
