2009 AZ Straight Pool Challenge!

Mark me up for a 49.

I only have 48 of it on video because I forgot to start the camera before the break shot. :embarrassed2:

I had a dead straight in 3 footer for #50. Rather than cinch it I opted to try to cheat the pocket and juice the CB for better position to continue the run. In hindsight, that was a bad choice. Oh well... there is always next time.

Just ran a 125. tough break shot missed the rack.shot at the end ball

out of the rack 1 rail up table and hung it.

ran 208 on diamond on film today.

havent played much 14.1 as the table i practice on is tight with year old cloth.

anyway today while watching the masters i run 208 on film.
might sell it might not.

ive run many runs higher then that but 208 on a diamond was brutal.
i ran 224 a few months ago on same table but didnt have camera on.

anyway thats the highest run on film on diamond smart table for now.

later gotta watch kenny perry snap off thec masters.

And I'm still tearing my hair out trying to get to the third rack...

Nice run, Mr. Schmidt.

(Bobby chamberlain .com) i played in the world 14.1 last year along with a couple others in the va,md and nj area.beat hopkins in the world 14.1 last year.stoppped playing in tourneys for 8 years, however stop by often i will be playing all year long.sponsored by espiritu cues and nick varner. 4 runs over 200 h/r 227. more than 300 times ran over 100.do you play and live on the east coast?if you get to the wash.dc area stop in woodbridge,va and look me up.good luck to you.

wrldpro: it's a shame, I used to live in the DC/VA area, I'd have loved for a chance to play some with you. I played many times in Manassas, about 30 mins from you. Sounds like you hit 'em pretty sporty.

Danny Barouty ran a 136 and out on me the other night. He's lucky too because I was totally going to run 200 or so my next inning.

Chris,

But what is your best run of the year? Surely you have something to put on the list!

I dont know what charlies problem is and my he has been reluctant to add his number.

Nice Shooting !

Go to play some 14.1 yesterday, it's only been 3 months, LOL! Only able to run 18, it was a rough day, but that is better than the 15 :D Nine footer gold crown, shimmed pockets....

I ran a 67 early this morning on my 9 footer with 3 and 7/8' corners and 4 and 3/8' sides and very old 860 simoniz. I couldn't find a good way out of the last rack. I tried to bump a ball and missed the bump and got way out of line frozen on the rail and missed.

I'm gonna copy Stan's post here. Landon should definitely be in this thread :)
Someone's gotta threaten JS's dominance someday >_<

--------

Last night Landon had a 130 ball run on a 9 ft. Brunswick in Elizabethtown, KY.

In the last 6 weeks Landon has posted runs of 100,
90, 82, 93, and 2 nights ago an 87.

His 1st 100 was on March 24th on our home 4.5 by 9 Diamond Pro.

Many thanks go to John Schmidt, Danny Harriman, Jim Rempe, Duke Laha and Pat Fleming of Accustat Videos.

Nineteen months ago, John Schmidt spent 4 days in my home giving Landon 14.1 instruction at about 8 hours per day. Landon would not be at his current 14.1 level if it were not for John's instruction.

John is one of Landon's biggest supporters and John is always glad to get progress reports. We'd like to get with John again for additional 14. 1 instruction.

We're in a very difficult situation in this area as far as tourneys and competion goes. John convinced Landon to focus on straight pool and playing the ghost.

On the night ran Landon ran 130 he also beat the 12 ball ghost 15 to 7. We usually do not measure anything with the ghost unless it is a race to 30. Recently in Campbellsville, Landon beat the 10 ball ghost in a race to 30 by 30 to 26 (9ft. Diamond Pro). The races to 30 are what John recommends to really test yourself.
