Putting Shanelle behind Allison and Jasmine is like having me stand behind Mike Sigel and Efren Reyes.

Stage 1 is at Star Billiard Center on 10/31 & 11/1. We probably can watch it on their 5 stream cameras on their site. As far as stage 2, probably no stream or it would be in the ad or info I would think. Johnnyt

Maybe this is a little less incognito:

this has to be one of the funniest things i've seen in recent memory...ha ha...but yeah shanelle loraine - based on my understanding...is a model...and a pool player...her level i am not sure about...but in terms of being on allison's level or jasmin's level as far as achievements...that is definitely not the case.

i think though that maybe she is known somewhat in the phillipines, so i can see how maybe the promoters thought it would make sense to put her on a poster...but yeah - i kind of agree...put the established players on the poster...

you see that in snooker as well...jimmy white is/was a great snooker player, but he still remains probably the best snooker player to never win a world championship. given that, he is more popular than pretty much most of the world champions...how is that? it's that his celebrity status outweighs his achievements over the snooker table...so it really doesn't matter what he does. i'm not dogging jimmy white...i think getting to the finals 6 times is an amazing achievement...but i just don't think he should be raised above all those other world champions...simply because he never became world champion...

i was looking at a recent interview jennifer barretta did at yalin - and she basically summed it up - like she says in the us the women play pool - overseas the women train pool - there's a big difference between the 2 - and she mentions or maybe another us lady mentions - the lack of availability for funding...in these other countries...women are getting support from the government to play...in the us...there is no such support...and to attempt to go into the financial state of pool in the us...well chances are if you are on the azbilliards forum, you already know.

so it makes sense i think that the non-us ladies who have backing will do better - but that in a sense is still not entirely an excuse...since the us ladies choose to play and enter tournaments. so at the end of the day...they have to be willing to give credit where credit is due...you train pool...you have a better chance of winning more tournaments...you put yourself in a better position...

I don't think Shanelle even played... It's odd that she is on the event poster as one of star player.

Not odd at all. There are always big name stars that never show, and never said they were going to show on his event posters. Also, if CW says they are champions, then they must be champions. If CW says it's world then it's got to be world. Johnnyt

Womens10-ball

I went to the website (www.womensworld10ball.com) and there is no decent info.

The round robin info only provided the first two rounds - so no one can see how the players did.

The last 32 players were supposed to start on nov. 5th. It is now nov. 7th and no results.

I am confused because most WPA events have some press and current scores. But there is no info.

Any ideas where to get the match info.
Maybe we should have loaned them our ctsondemand.com charts. Then we would know what has been happening.

Yes, I understand that promoters often don't have control over which star players show. However, Shanelle is DP's star, I would think they would know if she will go to their event or not...

The final four are Ga Young Kim (Korea), Han Yu (China), Kelly Fisher (GBR), Tsai Pei Zhen (Taiwan). We got that from Weibo (Chinese Twitter)

And yes, you should "loan" or rent then ctscharts to everyone. I think it would go a long way towards gaining legitimacy if world class events all the way to small events can be viewed on the net in real time and have a permanent record that is easily searchable.

2011 women's 10-ball

It is a real shame this event is happening with us not being able to follow.

In a few months, our programs new version will be completely done.
We will hen actively be trying to get other events on the system.
This is mostly aimed at non- handicapped events.

I have already talked to WPA and we will try to make this work for everyone!!!

There will be no more excuses for lack of info.
