Well, that or race to 3 9 ball or race to 2 8 ball would probably work.
If we are to play straight pool race to 100, I have to warn you all that I have made over a thousand balls. That's a fact.
Yeah, a race to 3 9-ball, $10 entry fee, 11 PM starting time (All the matches should end by now, for those playing in the tournament).
If there's enough interests, we can run another 8-ball mini, race to 2 on a different date.
PM me your arrival dates, I'll try to schedule the best possible night for everyone.

Better make it at least midnight - the last tournament matches for the night won't be over at 11:00 - the last tournament match for the night usually starts at 10:30 or 11:00.

This is the same problem as always. There are so many forums on AZ Billiards that it is hard to keep up with them all. The Main Forum is the businest forum and a thread or two directing people to the Derby City Classic forum would be in good order. There are new people every day coming on AZ Billiards and they don't always know where to navigate to, to get their required information.
It would be a good idea to get a thread started in the Main Forum to better broadcast the AZ Billiards Room at the Derby City Classic.. In that first post of the thread a link could be added to the Derby City Classic, thereby increasing traffic and interest concerning the AZB room and donations to the room.
I also noticed in scanning this year's thread that there is no mention of the fee. This should be in the very first post of the thread. It can easily be added to the first post of the thread along with instructions on how to pay via paypal.
I won't be making the trip this year but will be there in spirit. Hope everyone has a great time. I've met a lot of very nice people in the AZB room and loved getting in some practice time there before matches.
When you're in the AZB room don't be shy about introducing yourself to others. Everyone is in the same boat. If a person struggles with the question, "What's your screen name?", you know darn well he or she isn't an AZB member.
And another little tip: Don't give permission to a Non-AZB person to play pool with you. The AZB police will put you under HOUSE ARREST & it will difficult to see the rest of the tournament.

for the first time. It would be cool to meet some of the

Am I able to pay someone when I get down there (staying
