45 ball run at home
Feeling more and more confident, I've been working a bit with a professional instructor and it's done a whole lot for my game, especially concerning my approach to the table and mental focus.

No draughts anymore. Finally got the correct contacts. Just ran 101 balls. Scratch when I made that 102 ball. Cue ball off the cluster in the same pocket to end the run. I was going.....
I hear ya. I'm next (eye doctor, that is). Occasionally facing that same "halo effect around the balls" thing that I faced when at your place, that you might remember. The new employer has a really great benefits package (including eye care), so I should take advantage of it and get me eyes checked...

due to this forum, I have a growing fondness and attraction to 14.1, but truth be told, I have never played an actual 14.1 game with another person, and I dont know many of the rules.
Anyway, during practice I have thrown balls on my crappy home table many times and run them, so my previous "high run" was always "15" in my mind.
today I re-racked after making 14, and ran 21, so that is my new high, LOVE THIS GAME !

I ran a 25, 2 days in a row. Its my new high run. I had to bank a ball to get on the key ball after my manufactured break ball blocked my key ball, yikes! 6:01 is the time stamp when this started.
That's it for now. I played nothing but straight pool the past 30 days, and I need a break. I've always been a 9 baller and 1 pocket player, and feel I learned a ton about pool during this month.
I'll be back in a few weeks to continue my pursuit of 50, my goal.
Now, I have to do my 2011 and 2012 taxes in the next couple of weeks before the IRS locks me up!

at least 30 seconds for every shot...it was quite painful to watch your high-run :smile:
I'm in 9 ball mode tonight. After nothing but straight pool the last month I got a call for 9 ball action. Lets see how I do tonight with my new knowledge of the game.
Don't forget to leave a break ball for next rack! :grin-square:
