The International Cue Collector Show (ICCS), the Granddaddy of all cue shows.............

This year`s twelfth annual International Cue Collector Show (ICCS) will be held in Atlanta, Georgia in mid-October at the Westin-Buckhead. Many of the world`s top cuemakers will be in attendance with new cues for sale, and many of the top cue collectors from all over the world will have some of their phenomenal cues on display out of their collections that will include cues from all across the years.

I am very pleased to announce that Zen Cues has been formally accepted into the ICCS as one of the elite cuemakers in the world, and Zen Cues plans to exhibit cues for sale at the show in Atlanta.

This year, for the first time the show will feature cases for sale by some of the world`s top casemakers, and I am pleased to announce that Jack Justis (of Justis Cases) and Phil Eastwood (of Quiverz Sport Cases), two of the world`s finest custom cue casemakers, will exhibit their cases for sale at this year`s show. Both of these gentlemen are recognized worldwide for their excellence in casemaking and we give both of them a very hearty welcome into the ICCS.

Each year, the exhibiting cuemakers can voluntarily participate in a Special Collection of cues comprised of a unique theme for the show. This year the Special Collection is The Wrapless Collection, an exceptional gathering of wrapless designed cues. Each cue will include ebony, amboyna burl and curly (or birdseye) maple, allowing for a wide range of innovation and creativity with the mix and integration of the dark, medium and light colored woods. All are for sale individually in a unique silent auction that will run for most of the show, with the auction ending Saturday afternoon. The Special Collection is a lot of fun, with outstanding cues, and I expect this year`s collection to be a memorable one as well.

The event is open to the public on Saturday, October 19, from about noon until 6PM. Show schedule details will be published in the near future. There is a small entry fee for the Saturday public show, likely about $10, and all the ICCS exhibitors really enjoy "talking cues" all day long. Come, see some outstanding cues and cases, both for sale and on exhibit, and enjoy the day!

More information, including the list of all Exhibitors, will be published in the very near future. If you have questions, please send me a PM or an email on prout5809@aol.com.

Will,

Can't wait for the show. It is going to be a blast. Just let people on the fence know, that weekend will be packed with things to do in the Atlanta area. For example, Friday night has Lynyrd Skynyrd with Molly Hatchet & the Marshall Tucker Band playing at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park. Atlanta has many music venues and its easy to find great shows. Saturday night, comedian Lewis Black is performing at The Cobb Energy Theatre. Not to mention all the Festivals that will be going on around metro Atlanta area. I will put up a link at the bottom of the post with a calendar showing some of the festivals. http://www.events12.com/atlanta/october/.

Chris,

Thanks for the nice comment, and I hope you can make it next year!

I'll be there to display several cues and cases under the theme "This is why I collect." I hope to discuss this subject with any guests who enjoy an introspective approach to their own collecting passions.

AZr's, I've attended this show in the past and it is utterly unparalleled. The level of cues displayed and the opportunity to share the company of cuebuilding's elite is amazing.

The venue, food and facility are first rate. Cue collectors: this is truly the event of the year and in my experience, makes for an unforgettable time. Find a way to get there and enjoy the company of like minded cue people while marveling at the finest assembly of cues on earth.

Looking forward to it. Especially since Rik is talking everyone to see Skynyrd!!! :p

Drawman,

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone looks forward to seeing some of your wonderful cues on display in Atlanta.

The show is shaping up to be a great one, and the cue collections committed to be on exhibit suggest there will be hundreds of memorable, historically significant cues by all the Cuemaker Grand Masters.

And there will be unbelievable cases for sale and on display as well.

And did I mention all the new cues for sale by many of the world's top Cuemakers?

Mark calendars for Saturday, October 19 at the Westin Buckhead hotel in northern Atlanta. It is rapidly approaching.

See you there!

I really hope that this show is going to be held here next year. I have envied everyone that was able to attend this show over the years and now it is within driving distance for me and I won't be here for the occasion. I would love to attend but I will be on the way home from a family vacation that day.

For now, I will have to hope that the show is held here next year and that I am able to attend. I hope all who get the opportunity to go have a great time at the show.

Enjoy,
D

I'm sad that I'll be in Chesapeake, Va at the US Open when the ICCS show is held. Atlanta is in descent driving distance for me and I'd love to see all the cues, cue makers, and collectors, but I haven't missed a US Open in 20 years so I won't be able to make it this year. Maybe the dates won't conflict next year and it will be held close enough for me to drive there. I know everyone will enjoy the cues and I'd love to be there also!

Looking forward to getting down there tomorrow and meeting everybody.

Would there happen to be a list of exhibitors available?

Thanks,
Matt

Will,

I hope it is not too late to bring your collection of Tads. It would be a nice tribute to one of the greatest cue makers of all time.

Plan

I am going to make a real effort to attend this show next year, it seems to be top shelf from what I have heard. Good luck Will with your show and have a great time.

Back from Atlanta now and the show was great.

Getting to see so many beautiful cues up close and personal is always an outstanding experience...its like visiting a cue shop in heaven where every cue is perfect from one end to the other. Truly a marvel to behold.

And every single person I interacted with couldn't have been any nicer. A real fine group of people.

Photos coming soon!

I would have loved to have been there. Was there a People's Choice award? or Cuemaker's Choice? Seems like this was the event last year where Bobby Hunter made the Cue of the Year? or am I thinking of another venue? Looking forward to pics!
