Wow, that's a strong field!
I put Morra and Mario as the weakest. I put Shane, Filler, Gorst as the strongest.

Bronze in the US Open. He's in form.Visibly so. Still, I noticed some "subservience" in the previous engagements and truthfully he has yet to be the dominator those on my hero list have already displayed.
He's the favorite after his dominating performance in this event a year ago. What about Gorst ?![]()
We'll see won't we. Clam here and there and your options are cornered. (whatever that means...Bronze in the US Open. He's in form.
Yes, some players will have to win two tomorrow.so to reach the finals, some guys will play 3 matches tomorrow and some just 2?
or will they complete the quarters late tonight?
Gorst was not born in America. He is an American citizen. He is playing for the American Mosconi Cup Team. He has a home in and lives in America. What about Gorst ?![]()
Sigel is fast becoming one of my favorite commentators.
Gorst, Yapp, Juszczyszyn, and Filler have all played just once through the first 2 days. If one of them wins the event, he will have played 3 matches on Wednesday. That was true last year for Gorst.so to reach the finals, some guys will play 3 matches tomorrow and some just 2?
or will they complete the quarters late tonight?
Not a citizen yet; that takes time.Gorst was not born in America. He is an American citizen. He is playing for the American Mosconi Cup Team. He has a home in and lives in America.
Is Sigel commentating? That's great to hear. And it should not surprise anyone if you end up liking him as a commentator, I remember watching some old tapes with him in the comms and he was great. The guy knows the game and knows how to convey it for the viewing audience.
Thank God for youGorst was not born in America. He is an American citizen. He is playing for the American Mosconi Cup Team. He has a home in and lives in America.
Upstate Al did a tour of the International Pool Championship venue, and it was really, really cool. It showed some vendors. Tracy Joe was in the house as well as Joe Blackburn the cue mechanic, among many. Kevin Hart's brother, Robert, was in the stands with a pretty lady, and Mark Wilson and Marty Hermann were also milling about. Mike and Vicki Capone's son was there watching the Capone Cue vendor booth, and Mike Sigel's son was also making the rounds.would rather they had someone from the next generation than the old "hook a buddy up" thing. they had last year iirc, schmidt and frost i think

What was amusing, at least to me, was Mike Sigel walked up to Mario He, who was playing/practicing on a table with Conrad from Poland, and Mike asked him his name, and Mario replied, and then Mike asked him what country he's from. I'm thinking to myself, man, I know more about these international players than Mike Sigel. But, in all fairness, he was gathering information before he had to commentate matches, which shows his professionalism.
I've always enjoyed Kimmer in the booth. He and Mike are good choices.
