will the shaft of these 2 joint fit each other?
but the joint protector of my 3/8x10, fits my friend's 3/8x11 cue.

What about 5/16-14 and 5/16-18? are they the same? or different?
I truly hope this post is in jest.
Since we're on the subject of joints and threads, is the joint pin on a Schon a standard 5/16-18, or is it unique to Schons?
I'm just curious.
TIA, cd.
It's actually 5/18-14. And yes, it is a standard thread.

I just bought a 3/8x10 314-2 shaft, and it'll fit any cue that has a mcdermott style 3/8x10 pin, but it won't fit my 3/8x10 cues with the threads that are rounded off at the edges! Can anyone explan. Thanks
While there are some Schon's out there with a .302X14, they also use a standard 5/16X14. Now the tricky part, 5/16X14 screws depending on the supplier you get them from, can run anywhere from .306, .308 and .310 and they do not all have the same depth as far as pitch. I believe the old Mali's used a .298X14 for their quick release. Other candidates for the odd undersized 14 screw were, Paradise, Schuler. Let's not leave out the 5/16X14 acme screw, somewhere in the neighborhood of .323
And don't forget rolled pins.
