thanks guys,i'll give a short run down for those that don't know what the woods are,The PH/Ebony and the Tulipwood/Ebony with the butt sleeve both have a Madagascar Ebony front.it was the first time for me working with the Madagascar Ebony and the other Tulip/Ebony cue is Gaboon.the Gaboon is blacker for sure, but the Madagascar Ebony is really nice.it seems to cut differently that the Gaboon.it seems more like a Rosewood or Blackwood or something.anyway i expect them to be really nice players.the Tulip is nice and dark on both cues.
the Purpleheart turned out to be really nicely figured and the Satinwood is really nice too, they are both mottled in figure and the Satinwood actually has several Birdseyes in it into a nice piece of Cocobolo
the Birdseye and Bolivian cue has about 40 growth rings at the joint which is .830" or so.you can't even count them, easy 50+ rpi.the wood is nice and dark and dense, definitely old growth.then there is the PH/Bocote cue which has a highly figured piece of Bocote.
all the cues are pre-sold,sorry.
