600 ball run on Virtual Pool 4

I once shot -28 in Tiger Woods Golf in a single round with medium wind, tiger tees, long rough -- basically the hardest settings without using gale force wind (just one click lower, breezy it might be called). No mulligans, etc, etc.

You wanna know what that means?
Absolutely nothing.

If someone runs 20000 balls in virtual pool or -28 in Tiger Woods golf - who cares. In Tiger Woods golf, your swing is always perfect and once you understand how the game figures break/speed, you make the adjustment and make putts from wherever. Same with the wind/elevation, when you know how much the wind/elevation affects you from what distance, you adjust and get the heartbeat every single time.

In VP, your stroke is as straight as a beam of light. So, it's the same thing. Assuming the aiming thing was indeed turned off and once you get the hang of where to aim, you just move the mouse and make the ball.

It's like guys that get 100000000000 points in Pac Man on a single quarter because they know the ghost patterns for every level.

Well then: Let's see you run that many balls in VP. You probably couldn't run 10 balls. The original poster is talking about how hard it is to run 600 balls in VP, NOT IF IT MEANS SQUAT OR NOT.

Tiger Woods golf sucks the big one. Jack Nicklaus Golf was simply the best. Hell, you could even design your own courses. I hated it when Windows progressed beyond Windows 98 where Jack wouldn't run anymore.

Some guy from Sweden broke the high run record, VP4 only allows for a 500 point game so he started at minus 99. Here is the Video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4OtgCWdAOU&feature=share&list=PL5fg1W4HRLNDz39Wg1tBUEOlMukTjne-J

Okay, this may be possible if you had the training aids on. To run 600 balls without the training aids would be SUPER DIFFICULT.

Can anybody tell me if the ghost ball and aiming lines can be toggled on and off in the 'hustler mode'?

If people don't think this game is a miracle of modern science, just try it and report back. It's amazing.

This thread kind of makes me laugh.

People always start threads on how to save pool or get people back into poolrooms and a thread about a pool video game gets so much hate. The fact is there are 16yr olds playing video games in front of 15,000 screaming people that are making more money in a year than most pro pool players.

Maybe if more people played computer pool it might get them interested in actually trying to pick up a real cue.

Well I just bought the game. It is very good. If the 600 ball run is legit, well that is a major feat, IMO.

I love this thread. You actually think VP4 is gonna save pool? Lol dont bother answering.

I'm saying it might have a bigger future then actual pool.

As they say evolve or get left in the past and become irrelevant.

I just ran a 768 in my mind.
could we have a youtube link to that one? :D

I haven't tried VP4 yet, so I hope it is correct John Novak said the rack once set for a break shot suddenly changes in playback mode (though such behaviour is still weird, I mean when something recordered keeps changing:confused:). Because I found it weird and there is a comment at youtube considering this, the guy is accused of cheating with missed breaks for that reason (frequent visitors of 14.1 subforum know such move under the name of "sascha":p)

I can't downlaod the game on my home computer due to a glitch. Can you see if I'm in it in Pro Career mode - I think it's Tate99 - see if I play good.

One thing the game can do that real life can't - replay the same shot over and over till you get it right.

Amazing learning tool apart from being incredibly engaging as well as exceptionally real life.

VP4 is at a new level of realism.

Quit hatin. Video gamers make more than pool players do fosho

I will vote for this game if you wanna get better playing straight pool! It tech you the pattern of the game if you really pay attention to it.
