When Ernie started making cues again I met him in LA and ordered that
exact cue from him
In fact he made one of the new ones for a prize given away at
Hard Times
Seems like it was the best style he ever made too

Ernie emailed me back...
He told me he only made two of these cues around '67-68. One was built for Ronnie Allen (which had a silver plate) and this one..but he can't remember who he made it for.
It's hard for me to believe this cue was built 50 years ago. It's the nicest cue from that era I've ever seen..I'm truly impressed..I see why the guy is a living legend in cue making.
