this is the deal, i want a custom cue up to 700. don't care about looks just something that feels and plays great. please send me your top 3 picks. it does not have to be an old cue makers, young cuemakers is fine as well. i just want to improve my game. p.s. i am used to playing with a predator.

If you are used to a predator, the feel for most of the hit is in the shaft, so almost any butt you use will feel the same, if you use the same type of joint. I have a Samsara Barcue that runs $500 retail that has a super hit, and I have hit with one using both a Z2 and a 314 shaft with a radial joint, the hit is pretty good with those compared to the stock shaft. But you may be better off using one of the AZers sticks, support the local cue makers and all, and they can match you a predator shaft to the butt them make. That cue shown above is sweet looking.
 
I have a Scott Zachow "ZAC 07-03" cue i am looking to unload for $600. PM me if you are interested!

Something To Look at

I make my cues with old Kersenbrach or Franklin taper , conical mostly ... stiffer and solid with wood to wood joint , 3/8 x 10 , 11 , and radial pins ... Thanx ...Few Cue Pics 068.jpg

You could also check out the new OB-1 cues which are in that price range.

one thing is for sure for $700 you will find a great cue, with a bit of shopping. I firmly believe that $700 is the magic number to get access to whet ever it is your looking for, any less $$ you might not find it any more $$$ is just for looks etc. best of luck

Shouldn't you be the judge of how a cue feels in your hands rather than by what others are advising? A cue that feels right to one may not feel right to another. It's more in the artist than in the paintbrush.

i am a true believer that you can get used to any thing i just want to try the customs.
