$72 for Accu Stats DCC PPV is ridiculous

I understand the OP's point that $72 is a lot of money, but as pointed out...he/she needs to also understand it is a LONG tourney. You're getting a good deal at $8 per day, it's just the grand total of $72 that causes some sticker shock.

It comes to about $2 a match for each day. I got to watch Efren plus a slew of other great players for $2.00 a match.

Also, not sure if most would agree with me, but we are also supporting pool in general, and supporting Pat Fleming and the Accu-Stats team. Even if I'm not a fan of who's playing or the the game that's being played, I buy a couple days or the whole package regardless. We want Pat and company to be able to sustain and continue to give us this amazing opportunity to watch great action right from our homes or phones.

This attitude is why

It is why pool stays held back . I'm glad so many people chimed in and said something about the value of what Accustats is putting out .

Accu-stats does a great job of giving us choices. You can buy the whole week, daily, or even day/night sessions. The only other choice would be per match.

Another non-live option would be to wait until Pat produces the DVDs and buy those as a package deal, "any 10" special, or as a monthly subscriber (1/2 price.) I don't believe it would be cheaper, but you could watch them multiple times for about the same money, but you'll have to wait 6 weeks or so for the DVDs to be ready.

Pat and crew do a tremendous job with multiple HD cameras, professional lighting, and good commentary. Quality costs money.

One could always drive or fly to the tournament venue to watch, if they don't think the PPV price is fair.

If I go to my regular bar to play, it costs $11 for 2 beer. A buck fifty for a table plug.
If I buy a 6 pack from the off sale for later, $19.50. Pool hall, $10 an hour to play or $6 to practice by myself.

I'm not an El Cheapo, in fact, I feel guilty for spending a little crazy sometimes, but whatever I do spend, I like to feel that I get some entertainment value from my earned dollars. $8 isn't all that bad for 4 matches.

For a weeks worth of top notch pool that is pretty good, UFC and boxing matches cost like $50-$60 and its for a couple hours of sometimes crappy fights so Accu-Stats is giving great value. :)

It seems like a lot if you fork it over all at once. If you pick and choose which days or which matches you want to watch, its very reasonable.

I bet most people here wouldn't work for what Pat really earns from this endeavor. Hauling all that gear across the country and having to fade the internet connection and all the other things that can go wrong and then someone thinks that $8 a day is too much to pay for getting world class pool live as it happens with professional commentary........

Sometimes we are way too nitty. If anyone has EVER paid $4 for a cup of coffee then they should NEVER say anything is too expensive.

I agree with Sunny, we WASTE money on foolish things all the time, ALL OF US HAVE, and yet we denigrate things that are worth far more than what is being asked for them.

What a strange world we live in.

I thank you AccuStats and thank you Inside Pool and thank you TAR for all the great coverage both free and PPV that you have provided and continue to provide. It's freaking AWESOME that I can be in China and still be a part of these great events.

It's freaking AWESOME that I can take my laptop to the pool room in China and SHARE American pool culture with the Chinese players.

Thank you.

I BOUGHT MY 8 DAY PASS, AWESOME COVERAGE AND COMMENTARY!!! SURE CANT GO TO THE DERBY FOR THAT PRICE!

You might be a little tight sir but this is America so stay home and read AZ it is a good pool outlet and you do not have to pay a dime. I know I will not be buying the stream but only because I am onsite at the Derby :) and have the chance to sit right there by the Accu-Stat table. You might not know it but Pat/AccuStat has quite a bit of pro type people onsite 3 camera operators alone. There is pool on DVD from the 80/90/00 decades because of Pat. If you want to see a certain match just pay the single price I think you will like what you see.

Accu Stats is good for pool. Thanks Pat

Been some pretty good matches last couple of days.
I'm not a one pocket player, but it seems like you can get a lot of insight on the strategy listing to the commentators.
