This had to be the worst 85 ball run ever. If I don't get anything bigger in the next few days I might post it.

Frustrated

OK, my big dog never gets a chance to be on video, the little dog gets all the glory. So here is the 85.

We're all pulling for you break 100 and post it. I heard this guy schmidt did some video on how to do it ;D

post it Bill, we like to watch it....you don´t have to be frustrated about an 85 ! Many others never even get there once !

Bill,

we all put up "Good Runs" and "Bad Runs" and even "Ugly Runs", regardless they are still runs and I say post it up kid !!!!

Steve

Bill you shoot very well and will get that 100 soon.
Thanks for your help, wish I could be of more help.

Bill!
The key in this thread is in the Title and it is the word "again"!

There are many of us would have to substitute the word "finally" if we ever ran a 85!

We are all pulling for you to break that 100 and post it so get back to that table and quit your whinning about ONLY hitting 85 AGAIN!

The bottom line is to have fun, if you have more fun practicing 9 ball than do it. If you want to play 14.1 don't put a lot of pressure on yourself to run a big number, just try to play the proper way and the runs will eventually get bigger and bigger.

Bill

Bill,

this was a quote by you from another thread, i just wanted to remind you.... Practice what you preach my friend. I think you may have lost sight of that, in your quest to run your 100 on video....and believe me i truelly cant wait to see it, and i just know it is gonna happen real soon ! ! !

maybe if we all start to think this way, some of our goals will be reached.

85......

Your playing great. Even if you get completely out of line & get the wrong position that you wanted. You are good enough to recover. Be proud of those two 85's and keep on going.
You have a few of us on your heels to that 100 mark........ LOL

Bill:

I haven't watched this one yet.

Did you watch the Pete Fisher video I posted? He bumps balls so perfectly.

I watched it. I like his style, nice pace, smooth stroke, good patterns, stays in control of the table.

Thanks for posting

hi

center pocket ,i think its cool that your pulling for bill.
in his defense hes definitely visualizing well or he couldnt be running 60-90 as often as he does.im sure you know but hes run over 100 3 times [high 120].

when he hooks himself its not because he didnt think or look i think its because he just hit the ball in the hole thicker or thinner than he wanted and the pattern or position got away from him. i do that myself sometimes.

to see the pattern perfectly and visualize shape perfectly is much easier than doing it.

when i golf i say to myself dont hit it left out of bounds but i still donate many balls to peoples backyards.

is it because i rushed or didnt visualize no its because hitting the golfball right where i want is hard just like hitting a poolball right where you want is hard.

you seem like a good guy and you like pool like me and bill so you ,i and bill will get along great if we ever meet.

honestly over visualizing might be what keeps you from running more balls, bill flows and gets in stroke and lets it just happen ,which i think is the key to great pool.many people over visualize and get in there own way.

anyway thanks again for trying to help him but trust me anything you could think to tell him i already have and now its just up to his talent level to see how far he goes.

p.s. nice table ,looking forward to meeting you someday ,you seem to have passion for the game which helps.im sure your a good player and you meant to help but trust me visualizing is not bills problem. pool is just tough .

Hrhr,

i m for 100 % sure, that Bill is already an absolutley top-level 14.1 player. For me it s amazing to see how constantly he s doing high-runs. Bill would be a unbelievable strong opponent because you know that he will for sure punish every mistake you ll do immediatley with several racks. I would *fear* an opponent like Bill for sure more than most of the guys which makin a super high-run...but doin not constantly runs.

An far experienced player like Bill is able to run so f...in often 80 s.....so he 100% is ready learning about all theoretical stuff and practising :-)

Anyway: Hats off Bill, i m every time impressed watchin a great straight-pooler like you.

Ingo

p.s.
@Schmidty
you nailed it from my side- for me it s all about to be able to visualize. No matter *how* (pls no aiming-discussion-rofl) you do it, but if you re able, just pocket the balls. If we have guys with a reapeatable straight stroke, it s all about how he can visualize at the table, the rest is just practising and experience.

Bill, check it out. I made the video just for you so I am hoping it is informative for you.

Thanks for helping me out, just trying to return the favor.

That´s a nice video you made there and it sure will help many others here that are not at bills level. I think Bill already knows that stuff and heard it from John also. Still, nice to see somebody put something like that up for others...

That is what I was thinking, too. When I watched your video, I thought I should do that more. Think exactly where I want it. Sometimes I do not go down and look at what my next shot will be, just assume and when I get there it is a little different than I thought. I don't know that Bill needs to do more of that but I know that I do.

Keep up with the videos and the talking to yourself about what you are doing. I think it helps you and us watching.

John, Sascha, and Dennis, thanks for the kind words, I kind feel like I got my foot in my mouth though. When I made that video I believe that Bill already knew that he is supposed to visualize, and that he obviously had to be visualizing to be running big numbers. I just thought maybe he wasn't visualize 100% of the time because of his failure to execute. Its very hard to execute if your brain doesn't give or arm any information.

I understand what your saying about not being able to execute what you visualize. A good example is a super draw shot corey hit on Johnny at the Derby a few years back. http://www.billiardsdigest.com/new_strokeofgenius/aug08index.php you can view it hear. I can bairly get the cb past side pocket. Although this is an extreme example, I think we understand each other.

John thanks for your input, I got my foot out of my mouth now hopefully. I hope you continue to ba apart of this forum as I enjoy your input. I turn 26 this year and I am trying real hard to match or beat your 14.1 milestones. I know I have the ability, I just have to get out of my own way sometimes and continue to be just as determined as the first day I started playing.

Thanks,
Center Pocket

after I started watching I had to start over because I missed the whole first rack watching them as they shark you with their tails! :) Seems you are used to it, for me it would have been a big distraction.
