You know, I thought this thread and the OP was pretty funny, but I guess I was wrong, as someone has so astutely pointed out. Scrooge is alive and well!

I am not anti-semitic, so this is purely an objective question that I ask every year around this time.
Why are there no Hanukkah movies?
The vast majority of the Xmas stuff on TV is written by, directed by, produced by or stars Jews.... and yet the Hanukkah story seems to be a perfectly adaptable story for screen, so why no movies?
It's a disconnect for me, and I hate disconnects.
Is it purely capitalism at work or is there some chosen rule against it?
