A Couple of Josswest Pictures

These are a couple of pictures of Josswest cues that I had on my computer desktop, but were way too large to send in emails, etc.

I decided to try my Microsoft editing to see if I could reduce them to a level where they can be shown.

The first picture shows two cues housed in a couple of custom Whitten cases made for me by Dan and Joe Whitten. They "fit well" with the cues.

In the second picture, the three cues on the right are all loaded with silver. The fourth cue has ivory points trimmed with fine polished silver veneers. The center diamonds in the fifth cue are silver; the picture washed out the detail. The sixth cue has black-lip mother of pearl laid directly into the ivory, with silver in the endpoints and rings. Too bad, the cues show a lot better in your hands!

Here they are (maybe):

Beautiful cues Will, I am especially impressed with the use of Black Lip MOP. Like it's sister Gold Lip MOP, it is hard to use and get the subtle colors to remain after initial inlay. Most times the specific color goes away and leaves you with what is essentially regular MOP. Very well done.

Beautiful Cues

Nice Will!!
Bill Stroud's High End Cue's attention detail in his excecution is amazing.

When I went to the '09 VE SBE, I saw some of Bill's cues and was so impressed by his workmanship.. Flawless..
I keep wondering "How do they do it?" (Alien Technology" as I refer to it)

And, or course, Beautiful cues that would be a "Prized Piece" in anyone's collection..

PLus, look at Bill's Caps... Only Bill could do the Caps correctly. That, I'm sure.... :)

Thanks for posting Will.
Many of Bill's cues are tucked away in Privare Collections.
Some of which belong to Collectors that don't post/endulge here on Az..
Our Losts...
Lucky we see as much because of the Internet (Another Alien Technological Device).

Thanks for sharing Will, I always enjoy your posts and the wonderful cues that you and others post.

I love the cue fourth from the left. I need to see the forearm.

thanks,

Craig

Hey Craig my friend - I thought you are a cue enthusiast ;)
First of Will´s pics is number 231 on page 446 in the Billiard Ency. 3rd Ed.
Second pic is number 229 on page 445 in the Billiard Ency. 3rd Ed.
At pics number 230 and 235 (page 446 and 447) you will be able to see
the forearms of all these cues - and they are awesome

SO BUY THE BOOK and do something for the BILLIARD INDUSTRY

But all of you guys are right !
These cues are awesome and thanks to Will to show us these great pics.
They are way better to look at, then the small ones in the book.

For cue number 4 - the forearm is a mirror thing of the butt sleeve.
My favorite is the last one - Black MOP and Will´s greatest love, a box cue.
