IMHO Hu is correct on the shaft being the bigger problem.....having said that I also can compensate for a crooked shaft by knowing which way to turn it. But I have a real problem if the butt has a warp that is more then a acceptable. I have a Palmer from the 70's that has a real good wobble in it and i can't get by it.![]()
In my opinion a crooked shaft is worst because it may be going back and forth through the pivot point or it is nearer the pivot point. The further away the crook is from the pivot point the less effect it has.
