Mr. Troy,
Although we don't know each other, I would like to give my condolences to the immediate family and yourself. While at the same time wanted to use the above post by QB Custom Cues because it is perfectly written and expressed.

I wish Doug's family and yourself the very best on this holiday weekend & a blessed new year.

Warmest Regards,
Mo

I'm at a loss for words. Doug is sorely missed, but this tribute is a very nice gesture.

Merry Christmas to all and keep Doug and his family in your prayers.

Perfect

Troy I know exactly how you feel.I don't think you ever met John O'Neil but he and I were like brothers going all the way back since High school.I love our hobby of cue collecting and all the great people in it but since John passed away it has not and never will be the same.I know you will get great pleasure and comfort everytime you look at those joint protectors , not only of Doug but also of the friends you have and care about you.Keep your spirits up and enjoy your memories of Doug. This time of year is especially hard when you miss someone.I am looking forward to seeing you at future Cue shows.Take care.

Very touching and thoughtful gift. Wishing you a better 2012. Thanks for sharing this with us.

very nice gesture but am i wrong when i say they are not set to the o'clock position?

i am sure they were done that way in order not to jumble up the 12 o clock dashes....i really like the thought process put into them....truely touching...

What a wonderful gesture of love and friendship by Chris. Fantastic job by Joel. Doug made a huge impression on many of us here on AZB. God bless all and Merry Christmas to all and especially Troy, and my friend Vinny. "life is too short"

Doug will surely missed

It is so beautifull, Doug would fall in LOVE with this Set, as I know how much he love Watches.
Well done from Joel. He is behind his List as I was in for 2 Cues in 2011, but I not feel bad when I saw what he doing FIRST for his Friends.
Hope you have a nice Xmas and a BETTER 2012.
Ralf:wink:

Special, and memorable.

We will all miss Doug always, and his loved ones will be in our hearts forever.

Thanks for sharing the wonderful gift.

congratulations

Very cool! Congratulations and Seasons greetings! Troy, it is easy to understand why you have good friends.

all the best, Phil

Amazing work! Nice post as well, can tell your friend really meant a lot to you and these caps are a great way to let the memories live on.

i don't know doug but i know that he'll be happy to know he has friends like you.
Nice Submersible you have there, and beautiful caps. I think if there was a Pam Sub aka flying pig engraved somewhere it'll be real nice too, something like the Black Seal watches.
Which gives me an idea for my next cue cap that can be ebony based that'll look like this blackseal:

hope you don't mind me borrowing your idea? It's far fetched....i still need to look for a nice ebony cue that befits this cap first...

well Chris that was a great thing you did, Joel we all know how busy you are, and for you to take the time to do something this special is a wonderful thing! Troy i hope you know you are my brother. I am so glad that me you and Doug got to spend that weekend together at the windy city before his passing. Good friends in life that you truly have things in common and can always depend on in hard times are so hard to find. We have all met so many awesome people in this small world of billiard cues. I never would have thought back in 1996 when i bought my first southwest from another friend that passed, John Wright, that it would turn into this. I hope that you all have a merry christmas and a wonderful new year. Doug i know you are looking down on us, and you can see that we all miss you.

Nice jp' s I love that dam watch . Can you post more pictures..of the watch ...
