A weekend with 5 of the best ever (opinion)

I have been working on this for a while and need to know if I can actually make it happen.

Heres the deal, if I took 5 of the greatest Legends and Champions, men and women. (I can't name them just yet, just trust they are all up there)

For the weekend the following will be paid for Hotel, breakfast each day, lunch each day, dinner each day. Guests would just have to make it to the Private venue that will remain totally private throughout the weekend. The schedule would look like this. (max 25 guests)

1) Meet and greet cocktail party friday night.

2) Saturday 9.00am Breakfast.

3) 10am begin 8 hrs of pool school with a break for lunch. Each guest will recieve at least 1 1/2hrs of tuition from each of the pros in a small group of 5.

4) Sat eve dinner catered. and a chance to just hang out and play after that if you want to try some of the things you have learned.

5) Sunday 10am breakfast and a couple hours of playing time.

6) Sunday 12.00 noon til 3.00pm, sit down with the pros and do a Q&A session, anything goes from how to play a shot or what they were thinking when they won a world Championship.

7) more playing time until 6.00pm

8) 6.00pm fairwell banquet followed by a short show by each of the pros, exhibition style (alot of fun) Then racks of scotch doubles where everyone can play a rack or two and even some one on one challenges.

Monday, everyone goes home.

I think this will be a fun VIP weekend and a chance to learn from some of the greatest ever.

Please remember the things that I have included in what will be paid for in advance and tell me what you think that weekend is worth. Just your opinion and I know its hard to say when you don't know where it would be held or who the Pros would be. But it you can just go with a location that is easy to get to and the pros are real stars of the game.

I know I have just given the whole game plan away so I am sure someone will latch onto it and want to do it themselves, oh I have to ask. Thanks for your input,

Any chance this would be in Vegas? ;)
 
What I would pay for something like this...$1000-2000 depending on who the pros are and where the event is located at.

I'm not sure Corey. I was hoping so but it is really going to depend on if we can get the students. The place I was looking at in Vegas may end up too expensive and not leave enough for the players to get paid.

Eric, I have tried calling you 3 times since I saw you wanted me to call. It keeps going to VM and saying that your voicemail is full. Tell me when you want me to call or call me. Thanks,

Its a great idea...but it will be tough to pull off. Rates for exhibitions with top players are about $3k per day (for 6 hours, and sometimes their flight/accommodations are extra). Having five of them there for a whole weekend will be VERY costly. I'd suggest doing it sometime shortly before or after a major event, so that the players will already be in the area. They'll gladly reduce their rates in which case, as the weekend would easily cover their expenses for the event.

Either way, great idea and best of luck.

Well thank you and I have some good news. The rates I think I can make work and not only that having SIX top pro players involved. I just need to make sure that I get 25 VIP Guests to attend.

It looks like it going to be alot closer to you than Vegas. As I said now 6 top pros for the whole weekend.
It seems from the emails amd PM's I have received that $1,500 to $2,000 is the number. Considering everything that comes with it I think it is a great deal. I have already got 1/2 of the pros commited. and waiting for a couple of the others to give me the ok as they are checking the schedule,.
 
Honestly Mark you need to saw where it will be, and set a price for the students, and they you will have an idea if anyone would come, and wold pay the freight.
 
Kudos to you. I think 1500 to 2000 would be very reasonable.

I look forward to a formal announcement of location and dates. It would be worth considering.

The formal announcement is coming very soon. We really have some great teachers and great players involved here. I think with these six pros everyone will get their moneys worth. Thanks

COCO right now I am just seeing if A) there is any interest out there and B) what a reasonable rate would be. I am getting closer to being able to set dates, venue and Pros.
Of course I know it would be easier if I could give all that info do you think I am stupid? I am just not in a position be ba able to right now or I would have done it. What you may not understand is there is a certain amount of research that has to be done before you make a big decision like this.
