Maybe I am imagining things but when I came in last night I took a shower and had emptied my pockets on the bathroom sink. When I got out my blue masters chalk was darker than normal..I thought it was weird and it was the same color this morning..

Long story short I hit some balls at the house today and for some reason the chalk was 100 times better than normal..I guess the chalk absorbed the moisture from the steam..Check it out for yourselves and let me know what you think..

Wet chalk * Patent Pending* lol

I leave my chalk out on the screened patio 24/7. It seems to grab better when it's a little damp. One bad thing is it sticks to the CB more when wet. Johnnyt

Don't some people zap it in the microwave or toast it in an oven to make it play better? Different strokes for ...

I've noticed that chalk tends to get pastier during the summer with the humidity and more of a powder during winter when it's dryer

i used drywall dust when i was a kid. the recreation center wouldnt buy us chalk so i popped a chunk out of my closet wall and used it all summer. was better than nothing, but i dont know how it would compare.

Well I guess when we miscue now we can't use the old saying, "someone spit in my chalk" anymore!

I've noticed this as well. The piece that's sitting on my work bench in the garage is much darker then the pieces that are in my case right now.

wet chalk

Had a case of chalk in my car for 6 months and it got damp.personally I don't like wet chalk because it goes on to thick and has a soft feel.If you are having trouble getting chalk to stick to your tip though steaming it might be the answer.

When the chalk turned dark blue for me this summer, I mindlessly chalked up and shot a shot and miscued! (first time that ever happened:rolleyes::rolleyes:). I looked at my tip and there was ZERO chalk on it, even though I'd just chalked it.

I then looked at my cube of chalk and there on top of it was all the dried chalk that HAD BEEN on my cuetip! My chalking had done the reverse and transferred the chalk from the tip to the cube!

sure does

i played a tournament where in the first round a guy put a 6 pack on me, i wet my pants when i finally got to the table and pulled back 5 games straight:D
i musta had the chalk in my pocket....

The best results is to place the chalk in a small glass of warm milk an it must be warm. After 45 seconds take it out, wrap in paper towel an micro wave on high for 30 seconds. This only works with pre-flag blue masters. I hope that I have been of some help.
