I have been getting numerous phone calls from people suggesting that I offer Pat Fleming an area in Sandcastle Billiards for the Accu-Stats arena since I've got the ideal ceiling height and space to house everything securely.
For those who have may have not seen or followed the thread "AccuStats Arena", this is how I feel about keeping the Accu-Stats arena in Sandcastle Billiards. I've already contacted Pat Fleming and we are going to speak once the US Open concludes and we have the opportuniy to do so. This is from the thread, "Accustats Arena";
I thank you for thinking of the Sandcastle as the next home for the Accu-Stats Arena. I would absolutely love to host the arena along with all the major tours in the area. I am on Rt.1 in Edison, NJ easily accessible from the NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, Rt.440, Rt.287, NJ Transit Train Station Metuchen Stop with a cab service right in the parking lot there, Rt.18 only 5 minutes from the Hilton that previously hosted the 14.1 Championships, Rt.9 and most of the spectators and participants that went to Comet can have an even shorter trip to my pool room. The 6,000 square feet and high ceilings of the Sandcastle would be ideal for the arena. Most of the competitors that have played in the arena at Comet are already familiar with Sandcastle Billiards and have played here several times before. Sandcastle Billiards currently has 18 Brunswick tables with Simonis Cloth and 8 foot long fluorescent fixture lighting (NOT screw-in bulbs) with 5 + feet around each table. The temperature is always between 68 and 72 degrees and I just installed 6 ceiling fans to ensure even distribution and regulation of those conditions evenly throughout the pool room. I do have my own parking lot for visitors and I have already thought of the perfect arrangement for seating by closing off the back half of the room if so needed even. There is a motel next door that I have an agreement with on discounted pricing for my players when hosting 2-day events! I hope to be able to contribute all I can to the pool world. I am currently in negotiations with John Bertone of Kamui Tips to be an authorized install location with my complete cue repair shop on site. I am also looking forward to being a location to promote the new "9-Ball" movie with a cast signing with Jennifer Baretta, Jeanette Lee and the director Tony Palma. I've already bounced the idea off Jennifer and she is talking to Tony Palma about the idea.
Anyhow, I thank all those in advance who support the idea and all those who called me in reference to this topic. I appreciate all the support and vow to continue doing all I can (and can afford to do) to doing the right thing for the sport and all of us players out there!
Sincerely,
Sandman of Sandcastle Billiards
