Accu-Stats Arena @ Sandcastle Billiards - Edison, NJ (Keep it Nearby!)

I have been getting numerous phone calls from people suggesting that I offer Pat Fleming an area in Sandcastle Billiards for the Accu-Stats arena since I've got the ideal ceiling height and space to house everything securely.

For those who have may have not seen or followed the thread "AccuStats Arena", this is how I feel about keeping the Accu-Stats arena in Sandcastle Billiards. I've already contacted Pat Fleming and we are going to speak once the US Open concludes and we have the opportuniy to do so. This is from the thread, "Accustats Arena";

I thank you for thinking of the Sandcastle as the next home for the Accu-Stats Arena. I would absolutely love to host the arena along with all the major tours in the area. I am on Rt.1 in Edison, NJ easily accessible from the NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, Rt.440, Rt.287, NJ Transit Train Station Metuchen Stop with a cab service right in the parking lot there, Rt.18 only 5 minutes from the Hilton that previously hosted the 14.1 Championships, Rt.9 and most of the spectators and participants that went to Comet can have an even shorter trip to my pool room. The 6,000 square feet and high ceilings of the Sandcastle would be ideal for the arena. Most of the competitors that have played in the arena at Comet are already familiar with Sandcastle Billiards and have played here several times before. Sandcastle Billiards currently has 18 Brunswick tables with Simonis Cloth and 8 foot long fluorescent fixture lighting (NOT screw-in bulbs) with 5 + feet around each table. The temperature is always between 68 and 72 degrees and I just installed 6 ceiling fans to ensure even distribution and regulation of those conditions evenly throughout the pool room. I do have my own parking lot for visitors and I have already thought of the perfect arrangement for seating by closing off the back half of the room if so needed even. There is a motel next door that I have an agreement with on discounted pricing for my players when hosting 2-day events! I hope to be able to contribute all I can to the pool world. I am currently in negotiations with John Bertone of Kamui Tips to be an authorized install location with my complete cue repair shop on site. I am also looking forward to being a location to promote the new "9-Ball" movie with a cast signing with Jennifer Baretta, Jeanette Lee and the director Tony Palma. I've already bounced the idea off Jennifer and she is talking to Tony Palma about the idea.
Anyhow, I thank all those in advance who support the idea and all those who called me in reference to this topic. I appreciate all the support and vow to continue doing all I can (and can afford to do) to doing the right thing for the sport and all of us players out there!

Sincerely,
Sandman of Sandcastle Billiards

I Am very pleased to hear this news.....

How much closer or further away are you to Long Island than Comet is/was ?

Thanks
Steve

Are you gonna try to host the NJ Straight Pool Tourneys as well ?

Here is there link, give them a call.

I am 42 miles South of Comet. It takes me 30-35 minutes straight up Rt. 287. I'm right off Rt. 287 between exits 1a and 1b for Rt 1. I'm on the southbound side just before the ramp to get back on Rt.287 North.

I would love to host the Straight Pool Tourneys as well. Thanks for the info. I do whatever I can for the sport. I just hope that all the tours and events do the right thing so that our sport can survive. Many tours or events wind up costing the pool rooms money instead of helping them survive. I hope this is NOT true with all of them. I want pool to be back on top! My whole purpose of even being in the business was to save the room from shutting down and keep a players' room open for all us enthusiasts.

If I am not mistaken there will be a pool school at the Sandcastle next weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Scott Lee is coming into town.

kaznj is correct. We have one of our intensive 3-day road show pools scheduled next weekend, at Sandcastle Billiards. Should be a great school. Ed has been very helpful in getting this set up. I have only two slots left before this school is sold out. Anyone interested can pm me.

On topic, I think Pat Fleming moving to Sandcastle is a great idea! I hope it works out for both Ed and Pat!

KAZ, obviously you were correct!
Scott, thanks for your support! As we discussed, I would like to host SEVERAL events that are in the best interest of billiards where there is no or minimal cost to those hosting and working but all benefit from!

I agree with Scott 110%, Sand Castle is a perfect room for Accu-Stats.
I also want to thank Sandman for trying hard to keep pool alive. Keep up
the good work you're doing.

I hope your location works out too...thanks for offering your space for the gameshow!

Sandcastle Billiards is a perfect venue for the Accu-Stats Arena

I couldn't think of a better place for the Accu-Stats Arena. Sandcastle Billiards is very spacious and elegant. Pat Fleming would find a great combination there!

Thank you guys for your support! I appreciate you taking interest in lending a hand in saving our sport! I always say I am committed to diong what's right for the sport and the players without jeapordizing the integrity of the game. I just wish everyone could do the same! THEN pool will be recognized.

A Sandman, keep me updated on your negotiations with Pat. I don't see the reason
why he wouldn't choose your room.
