Action Challege wants Commentator Sponsors

Here is the deal. We have talked to some people we would like to commentate for the Action Challenge. You have heard of these people.

The problem is we are out of money for expenses we did not budget for. We can't expect these guys to pay all expenses to get here and then work for free so we are in a bind. Here is what I came up with:

We are looking for a sponsor or sponsors to provide some cash so we can get some of the best commentators in the world to provide their insight and knowledge for The Action Challenge.

In return for the sponsorship money, the sponsor will have their logo placed on all promotional materials and their sponsorship will be mentioned in upcoming podcasts and video pre-match segments as well as be displayed on the main page of www.TheActionReport.com. Their sponsorship will also be displayed via banner or on the side of the table for the entire duration of the Pay-Per-View.

This a great opportunity for a company or individual because by design we have no outside sponsors up until now. We were hoping to do the first one entirely ourselves to prove what we are capable of before going to potential sponsors. This means whoever buys in now will essentially be a co-title sponsor with The Action Report for a very reasonable fee.

We have experienced commentators that everyone knows, interested in working with us, we just need the resources to make it happen. We would prefer a single sponsor but if necessary will take multiple sponsors to reach our goal.

We are 3 weeks away and we have plans to start pushing promotional material out to pool rooms and individuals by Sept. 3.

So if anyone is interested or has contacts that you think may want to be a part of The Action Challenge please contact me via PM or at:

Why dont you ask the guys at www.indyq.com

They are in your hometown and they might be interested in some advertising. (absolute guess here...I know nothing about it, just an idea)They have a heck of a website.

A good idea, but Roy generally doesn't do much promotion outside of his website.

Maybe Black Boar cues could be a sponsor, I recently remmber that they are struggling to reach their full potential. Sorry, JCin, just giving you crap from the other thread. See you in a few weeks, keep up the good work, that John or is it Jack Madden podcast is really nice.

All joking aside, nice work. When are you going to start the video feed, I have my laptop connected to my 42" LCD flat screen and I am ready for Friday, I will be there on Saturday. That better be the nicest damn Super 8 in the world for 80.00 a night:eek:

If I hit the power ball, I will fly Billy and Danny in for commentary just for the fun of it. Maybe Grady and Freddy as well we can get all four of them together, that would be interesting, then after the Shane and Corey match Freddy and Grady could play Danny and Billy scotch doubles 1-hole:eek:

The match kicks off 7:00 PM Eastern on Friday, 4:00 PM Eastern Saturday (got you a spot ready).

How cool would that be: The first Commentator Ring Game.

My fingers are crossed...

Grady Mathews, Freddy Bentivegna, Billy Incardona, Nick Varner, Buddy Hall, Howard Vickery, Danny DiLiberto, Kim Davenport, Jim Rempe. If it's any of these guys, you won't be sorry.

I am generally not too used to sitting in the bleachers since I am usually in action from the time I walk into the room until I leave, but I am coming to watch, by the way what do the women look like in SD, hopefully better than Omaha:eek:

How much money are you looking to raise?

If you haven't already done this, maybe you could start building a network of contacts with the billiards retailers (like Platinum Billiards) and cue makers, some of which have active AZB participants. They might be interested in sponsoring these events.

You might also try contacting people like Jay Helfert for sponsorship and promotional ideas.
