( apparently, you didn't bother to go back and read a couple of hundred posts to see where I stood on this issue ) :)

NOPE....DON'T HAVE ALL THAT TIME, BUT THERE WERE/ARE OTHERS DEFENDING HIM, AND I WAS CONFUSED. I APOLOGIZE. I'LL GIVE YOU SOME MORE GREAT GREEN REP TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU.

I HOPE YOUR NOT SERIOUS....

A MONTH TO SHIP A CUE, AND YOU WANT PEOPLE TO APOLOGIZE TO HIM?

CAN YOU TELL ME WHY?

I agree 100%. Why apologize to someone that cant ship a cue when he gets the money?? A month is pure bullshit.

Heres a quote from Adam on 5/30

I want to apologise, there was a mixup with a cue that was supposed to be shipped. Thanks James for hooking him up with my number otherwise it might have been longer before I became aware. All is fixed! Sorry for all the confusion!

25 days later a cue is delivered....The only person that deserves an apology is Courtney.....

Delivered cue

Post from Hangemhigh:Insurance protects the seller, not the buyer. It would be incumbent on the seller to refund the buyer's money as soon as the package is deemed lost by the insuring body. Then the seller can be made whole by the insurer. The buyer should not have to wait for the claim to be settled

Very good point, I left out this detail.

The reason we are all here is because the buyer alerted us to a problem. The seller offered reasons why he did not do as he said. He and others want him to be exonerated for his actions. I think if he would have only kept in contact with the buyer during the time he failed to honor his agreement, things might have been different. The buyer, because of lack of communication from the seller, had to think the worst.

After going a month with no contact, he does just enough to quiet the storm. Then another 10 days pass without any communication with the buyer, causing the storm to form again. From there, it got even worse because for the third time he did not see things through as he knew he should.

The buyer receiving the cue, in good condition, only completes the original transaction. It does nothing to change the fact the seller had little or no regard for the buyer after he got the money. He did the least possible things he could do to follow through. This does not warrant anything close to an apology from those who applied pressure on him to step up, and finally do the right thing.

We learned through the Barrosm experience that complete restoration because he did the least possible to correct his wrong only leads to more headaches. Caution should be exercised until we are sure this will not occur with others.

Good News

The cue finally made it!

I was expecting the worst opening the package but it is still pretty straight and in as described condition. Its got that Scruggs hit!

I may have to use it tonight (APA 8 ball:boring2:) to recharge its mojo.:D

The box says it was mailed on the 11th for $7.69.

This was a long ordeal and I thank all those who helped apply pressure. Even if it was not needed (we will never know) it was nice to know others were in my corner.

Excuse me Adam if I thought (and I did) you were trying to scam me.

This is the crux of the biscuit, all very true.

Courtney, I am delighted that you finally got your cue,,,and that it is in fact as described. I am guessing, based upon the amount spent for shipping that this cue was shipped via USPS Parcel Post. I hope you didn't pay too much more than that for shipping, or you are owed a refund on that.

In a million years I cannot figure out why someone would ship a cue via Ground or Parcel Post...it's just craziness. Every cue I have shipped...and some for much, much less selling price than yours, has always gone out Priority Mail...and one even went out Express Mail once because I did not want it to sit over a weekend. I would still be upset if I paid for a higher shipping service level, and got my cue via Parcel Post or Ground.

Whoever shipped this cue for Adam just sent it the cheapest way possible, with no insurance or delivery confirmation. They didn't even bother with a receipt. Courtney is fortunate that he got it (in one piece too). He had zero recourse otherwise and neither did Adam. Pretty schlocky deal all the way!

I agree Jay. As a side note....I live in a VERY small town, we're lucky to even have a PO. When I ship items, I am never given a receipt...never offered one. I do however get my insurance and delivery confirmation receipts, and make sure each is stamped and filled out completely.

From here on out, I will be requesting that ALL my transactions at my local PO have a receipt...even if the Postmaster has to write it for me!!

I'm glad this ordeal has ended.

Adam, I never gave you red rep on this deal, but at the same time dont feel you have earned any green.

Thank God. I'm giving Adam some green rep for coming through and Courtney some too for not joining in on the bashing of Adam.

Courtney,

I am really glad this worked out for you in the end. I felt particularly badly about this, because I had given Adam a good recommendation when you asked me about him. Our transaction had gone off without a hitch.

For those of you out there, Courtney is relatively local to me. We have met a few times and knocked some balls around, talked cues, and done a couple of deals. He is a real "stand-up" person.

Again, I am just very happy everything turned out OK. I know how much you love the play of Scruggs cues. Best of luck with the new toy.

I am not sure whether he deserves it or not because he did make some errors in the transaction. However, although I did not give him red rep because I try not to make hasty decisions without knowing all of the facts, I did give him green because he was proved to be accurate that the cue had been sent on the 11th.

Again, he definitely made some mistakes before the 11th and even some mistakes on how it was sent on the 11th; however, I don't believe he ever lied as many other people had thought; therefore, IMO I thought he could use some green rep to offset some of the red he got.

Again, everyone has to make their own judgement on this one, I don't think there is a right or wrong, just an opinion.
