Just read a FB post the said "Blomdahl MAY BE one of the best players ever"
LOL

IMO we may not be seeing Major Tournament, General Averages of 2.0 without him.

BERT??

Blomdahl has ran centuries at snooker on a 6x12….and has beaten Reyes in an exhibition 9-ball match.
It‘s tough comparing eras, but I can think of only Worst who has done anything comparable.
You beat me to it. He also (obviously) beat him at 3 cushion. No one is better than the Swede in my opinion.

Isn’t Coulemans considered the best all time in 3C?

I've heard it said he's the most dominant player ever, in any discipline.

Edit: I was lucky enough to meet the gentleman years ago in Mexico City, and a gentleman he is. I had a long working stint there and found the most awesome billiard hall. They brought him in on an exhibition tour and had a big tournament for the grand prize of playing Mr 100. The fellow who was teaching me 3C -a very strong player of course- won it, only to have his ass reamed. At the end of the tournament Sir Ceulemans came to him with a picture of the two and asked HIM for an autograph.

Respect.

Walter Lindrum may hold that title.

Here is a video of Blomdahl's run of 26 in the latest World Cup which was in Ho Chi Minh City. While it is not a record tournament run, it is a record for World Cups. This was his first inning in the tournament. After the run, there was a half-time break. His opponent Dion Nelin had not yet taken a shot. The run includes two consecutive left-handed shots.

I believe it was first publicized at this tournament, blomdahl has been struggling with diabetes as of late.

Additionally, be had an operation about a month ago.

And he's 60.

And he just beat the world's best to take that title.

What a pleasure to witness, he's a class act.

Frederick Caudron is the GOAT of ALL Carom games. Free game, 1 cushion, Balkline and 3 cushion.
I have to second this. Caudron is far and away a the greatest master of the carom games...and although Blomdahl is without question an immense world class cueist across all the cue-sports, I have to say Caudron is a notch above...in my most humble of opinions.

That sounds about right. My gut feeling.
Shouldn't forget that Ceulemans ruled the World with .900 and 1.2 Grand Averages.
Then comes along Blomdahl, Jaspers, even Sanchez played a part in really pushing MR 100 into semi retirement around 1995? 98??..
He wasn't a 2.0 player!! Why?? Because there was nobody that forced him to go there!!
The game changed right before his eyes.

Then Mr Ceulemans comes back and Wins the World one last time in 2001 knocking off all the 2.0 players at 64years old.

Just makes me think, Raymond simply didn't have enough pressure early in his career.

great run. table seems to play a little shorter than other tables and so very very fast. almost all the billiards were off the long rail first and around.
cant do that on slow tables. its a different game than when i played on old anniversary's in humid no air conditioned slow cloth days.
he would dominate in that scene as well.
