I'm sure this link must have been posted here sometime in the past but I just saw it for the very first time and it is great.

After the brief ending to the rudolph / greenleaf match, it switches over to greenleaf practicing some uncooperative trickshots, then later showing off a few at an exhibition, once he got them perfected.

If you do watch this, please hang on til the end as there is a very funny (I thought) conclusion. :grin-square:

Awesome video. Wow that guy had a powerful stroke for being so unorthadoxed. And yeah, pretty humorous end

OFMG!!!!! The end was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in pool lol

thanks for the great link

Did anyone catch Ralph dropping an F-bomb at 4:50 over frustration with missing trick shot attempts?

He was definitely getting pissed off.

Did anyone notice the size of the pockets? At about 57 seconds into the video, when he makes the 8 ball in the lower right corner you can see the pocket size. Looks to me to be smaller than 2 ball widths...so much for those guys playing on bucket tables.

Not that it makes any difference, but the part about the match was a reenactment, not the actual match. There are several clues for the careful observer.

The shot at 2:40 is a foul stroke in that his stick hits the second object ball into the cluster. This is similar to a shot in the Hustler. I hadn't seen this variation before.

I have seen that vid before and I always take notice to how fast the cloth is. You always hear they played on the old nappy cloth......that video looked like they were on Simonis.

also, how in the world did they play in the suit jackets? :)

Hi Bob;

First, I thought it odd that Greenleaf came to the table and without looking at it in any meaningful way, he shot into the pack for the big breakout combo on the one ball, which missed. His demeanor was nonchalant.

Then as Rudolph was approaching the "22" count I think I noticed the ball layouts changed when they cut away then back to the action. Thought I may have seen the 8 ball reappear after being potted, as well.

I sure liked the "come back to daddy" masse Rudolph did during the match. That looked setup, btw.

Was there more? :)

The other thing is the audience. It looks like they have a total of 15 people and they all stay in their positions -- where they can't see the scoreboard -- from the opening break to the final ball. Some of them were in the SRO area. That's not the way an audience works.

There is another clip in which Mosconi shoots his five-cushion kick out shot against Ponzi (?) to win the championship. Almost certainly also a reenactment.

It seemed to me that in the match, the referee was calling out the shots almost before the players were even looking at the shots
