I just spoke with Corey....here is the deal. If anybody likes James Walden against Corey on the bar box, he gets the 8. If anybody likes Jesse Bowman, Corey will play even. It seems obvious that Corey is the underdog, but Jesse and his people can bet as high as they like. This is not just talk either, you can check me out if you like. I have staked Chris Bartram for years, and he has played as high as anybody. Check it out, and if you like Jesse or James, lets get this going. This is not woofing, just trying to make a decent game. Let me know.

YES>>>Corey will give James Walden the 8 ball. Corey will play Jesse Bowman even. It is hard to be any fairer than that....

the unfortunate thing is, nothing will happen..a bunch of people will get on here and start running their mouth's , not knowing what they are talking about, and it will be a waste of time...but I am keeping my fingers crossed,even if Corey loses, which he won't, it would be a hell of a show!!!

I really hope you get this going! What you're trying to do is what I've always hoped would happen on this forum, some match-ups via the web. If this does happen, could you please post the results? You don't have to put how much $$ was won or lost, just who won and generally how the session went. Thanks!
 
What exactly is your 'Call To Action' Billy? Meaning, are you asking if people here want to back Corey, or his opponents, or do you want other match challenges?

I'm no woofing-challenge expert, but I couldn't tell what you were after based on your post. Would be happy hear about any match-ups though, naturally.

Yea I didn't understand it either....is something gonna be set up where we can bet on players or something? Not sure about the legal implications of that...

But yea I would pay to watch Corey and Jesse go at it, and I like Corey on this one.

I will put Corey up. It seems like alot of people on here like Jesse in this game, and I would like for once to see something actually take place. If enough people would respond that want to bet on Jesse or James, we can do this. People dont have to bet real big, just want them to put up, or shut up about thinking that Jesse is the best. I will book the whole rail. Just trying to stir some real action. I will pm you if something happens.

Now the next question I think many are thinking to themselves would be...."How do we know the players won't do a deal with potential backer's money?"

I would guess that only people who knew Jesse pretty well would be able to check it out with him and be satisfied about that. Maybe that is the group you are appealling to here so my post is partly irrellevant.

I'm not trying to lay any accusations at all. I'm sure there are guys who'd love to have a bet, but don't feel secure about it. Not sure if there is a solution to that, but if you could find one, that could get a lot more match-ups to happen.

How bout Jessie just play YOU, the great IPT player? Then you could feel real comfortable that the game is on the up & up. I know Jessie from crossing paths at tournaments & would love to see this bar b q as he would be so happy to hear that you immediately question his character on here.
 
He didn't necesarily question his character, he simply stated that what assurances would azer;s have that this is on the up and up. And anyone who doesn't question the character of a pool player that they don't know is kinda stupid in my book....

I'm just trying to establish how this proposition is supposed to work, as I am sure are most readers.

As for your ridiculous challenge and inference that I suppose myself to be superior for being on the IPT, it doesn't deserve comment, other than to say that I believe that to the intelligent readers here, it offers them an insight into YOUR character.

Unfortunately I do not have the answer to that. I can not speak for Jesse, but I can ABSOLUTELY guarantee that Corey is going to play 100%. I am not directing this post at anybody other than the people that WANT to bet on Jesse and believe he can win. If anyone questions whether this game is on the up and up, then my suggestion to them is not to bet. I am not looking for anyone to bet on Corey, so I know my money is safe. I would really only bet a large amount on a couple of players out there...Chris Bartram, Corey, and Danny B. I am not saying anything negative about anyone else, you just have to be careful, and I know I can trust these 3.

I have personally gambled with all 3 of the players that you would back and all 3 are honorable gamblers. Bartram lost about $6000 to me playing the ghost in Atlanta and never said one word. Corey pays and collects right after each golf match and Danny backed a kid from NY against a local one night. I agree that each of them can be trusted unlike a lot of other players out there.

I was hoping his dismissal from the forum would be the end of this kind of thread.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the main forum as a place for mass solicitations of pool action.
