As defined in the dictionary, a "Forum" is a public place for open exchange of ideas. That said, I believe our AZB Forum to be exactly that. Therefore, provided the discussion is kept in good taste and not mean spirited, then any topic related to this sport we all love, should be open. If someone wants to promote action, that should be their right to do so on the AZB forum. Otherwise, may I suggest we change the term, "Main Forum" to something like "Main Exchange For Reserved Discussion"
On another point, regarding Jesse Bowman. I have known Jesse since he was 14 years old, when he ran with his older buddy, Johnny Kuchero. I know Jesse's father and his former mentors, including Mark Wilson. They are all honorable individuals who are greatly respected in the Quad Cities area.
Growing up in Cincinnati in the fifties, I was privilaged to watch some great young talent emerge including Joey Spaeth. Joey's father, "Northside Eddie" was one of the best money players of his day. He taught Joey well and likewise, Joey passed it all on to his own son, Gary Spaeth.
I never saw Corey play as a teenager but I sure wish I had. What is my point you ask? Simply this: These young guns are blossoming all around the world and aside from the Derby City Classic, they don't have many opportunities to match up except in tournaments and it remains my opinion that is not really matching up. So let the woofers woof as they choose and if it results in action, all the better. I am just glad to have the Forum available as a place to hear it unfold.
For what it is worth, I have one of the best home pool rooms in the state of Arizona with a new nine foot Diamond Professional table w/860 Simonis cloth. I will happily make it available for action between such notable players as Corey and Jesse. Further, I will buy them both a round trip airline ticket and provide their digs and meals if they care to match up here. No railbirds, no backers, no "BS". Just the two of them going at it!
