try the city prosecutors office. the police notoriously do not know the laws they are supposed to enforce.
City Police are trained in CRIMINAL LAW, and Town Ordinances. This is a Civil Matter IMHO, not CRIMINAL.
This is when I'm glad there is an AZ Forum. Another unscrupulous cue maker has been outed! Yes Jim, you are unscrupulous! What Slim Limpy has accomplished is to let the billiard world know to beware of this individual and to refrain from doing any business with him. After reading through this thread I would never want any involvement with Jim Lee in any way, shape or fashion. So the damage to his reputation has been done and rightfully so. Slim may never get his cue back, but he did get his ounce of flesh. Jim Lee may be the one who suffers the most harm from this sad episode, not Slim Limpy. :thumbup2:

Actually there is only about $4 difference per hour between "Stop in the name of the law" and "Would you like fries with that?"
Has anyone heard from Jim lately as to why he hasn't been responding to anyone?
I may be wrong but I'm hoping to hear in the near future that Jim has finished the cue and sent it to it's owner. Jim has done a few wraps for me and I thought he did excellent work at a fair price. I don't know what could have happened, but I know that he was ill for quite a while. If so he probably should have let the owner know and had someone else finish the work. I'm hoping that things work out..
I only ask because he said he was done with my cue and all that needed to be done was to be shipped. And he told me some personal issues that came up so I didn't press any further. But still, shipping a cue shouldn't take no more than 15-20 minutes out of a day. I just dn't know what to think anymore. I'm not trying to pursue legal issues if my cue is like 99% there and shipping is all there is, ya know?
Where is he at in Indiana? I live in Indiana and if its not to far I would go and pick everyones cues up and mail them out for a small fee (shipping costs) if Jim isnt able to. It sounds like he is very busy and doesnt have the time to get to the post office and if people are wanting their cues back, unfinished or not then thats their choice. I dont have a dog in the hunt and this would obviously have to be ok'd with mr Lee but I know from experience what its like to wait on a cue to be finished. I think the problem most cue makers have is the fact that they give out a completion date that is not logical in a lot of cases, just to make the customer happy. I would much rather wait a year on a cue than be told numerous times it was being shipped out the next week, I have had that happen as well. I have heard good things about his cues around this area and the ones I saw looked to be of good quality and craftsmanship.
