There has been dumping in boxing forever. In Baseball you have most of the records won on steroids and pitchers doctoring the ball. In basketball you have players taking way too many steps W/O dribbling the ball. In football you have QB's doctoring the football. Horse and Greyhound racing has fixing races. I don't think there is an honest sport. Johnnyt
 
I could bet with a lot of confidence at golf....
...it's not perfect, but honesty is par for the course.

I don't think pool is crooked. Sure there is gambling and hustling but tournament pool is on the up and up. Not one is out there dumping matcher most are double elim. Now if it was round robin then yes it can get pretty crooked.
 
Johnny, all Sports are Honest. It is the Greedy and Crooked that get involved with them that always seem to have an easy angle that tend to make a bad name for them.

In any given sport, it isn't the entire team, just one or two in an entire league that can easily spoil it for the rest.

That is one way of seeing it. Many more also.
 
I think the NBA players should have enough integrity to call their own fouls. Having refs at every game is rediculous.

Sure. That is why I implied that there are always exceptions to the rule and many more
stories and circumstances surrounding every Sport and team.
 
I stopped watching baseball and football because of the steroids. We were on coke, weed, butes, and 90 proof. I can remember being able to see the dust and lint on the edge of the OB from 9' away. It seemed OK at the time. Johnnyt
 
I've seen them ALL. Never felt that any MMA match....UFC in particular was fixed.
But roids were a problem. Getting a lot better with testing.
