Another Farorate thread

So i just realized. I’m a 600 with a problem. That about sums it up. You see how much I type? I’m easily addicted. Thanks for the intervention guys. I do like to mix my fixes. It’s more fun that way.😉Good night everybody. I’m off to do some drugs and party! Crap! gotta go to work.

In all seriousness I will post the ghost. Just done with this stupid way overdrawn conversation.

I’m wrong. I give up. And you all are right. I don’t know how I could’ve ever doubted you all. Sorry.

Don’t matter man. I have fun playing and have a blast with most people I play with. That’s all that really matters in the end. End result will hopefully be more wins but that’s not a particular goal of mine right now. I’m just focused on getting there.
You’re right all that really matters is having fun , however you are the one that came on here bragging about how you can run 20% of the time. When you do that someone is going to call you out and say prove it. That’s all we ask is prove it.

If I say I can beat the 9 ball ghost 90% of the time you bet every dime you have that someone is going to say prove it. Now if I say I can beat it occasionally nobody cares because that is believable but when someone with a 480 Fargo says they can break and run almost as good as pro players that’s not believable and someone is going to call you out. I don’t really even gamble anymore the only reason I play is for fun.

But like basementdweller said until you realize that you don’t win the game by making a bank on the one your never going to play at a high level.

Ah. Well that last one I wrote does about sum it up. And I’ve put myself here by drinking so often in a lot of the tournaments I’ve played in and overdoing the fun. I don’t smoke weed much but the one tournament I even ate two gummies before. They were strong too. I got stomped by a 450 and a 480 that day. And the races weee a bit longer than the Friday ones I play in. I literally could not play. I don’t feel bad though because those gummies were so strong my buddy who is a 600+ lost real good too and the tournament director was losing his marbles off them also. And they both smoke daily.

All in all you guys don’t know me and only have a fargorate to go off. So I’ll leave it alone for now and find some other threads to follow. Until I get that ghost up.

just go to any table for 1 hour and set up your cell phone. 7 ft, 9 ft, buckets, shims, whatever. you should be able to make short work of it.

even a video of a 5-20 loss against the pro ghost would suffice as some evidence for his 20% b&r stat.

you can do it 🤙 good luck

I might be a 600 player and since my last post I decided to play a set against the ghost. I recorded the set and will post it tomorrow sometime. I use an old Sony handycam and I have to upload it on my old laptop that’s 20 years old so it’s kinda of a slow go.

Here is the video MR Wolfy. Took me less than a day to record and upload on my ancient equipment. It’s ok if you want to say I got lucky. My Fargo is around 600.

good shootin. for wolfy though i think he needs to play the pro ghost since his whole stance concerns break and runs.

That's about how I recall your game from your last video. I know you don't get out much to establish a fargo but I play a lot of 600 players and you're closer to 650. And of course Woofy does have plenty of games in and is likely rated just about right.

7-0, nice shootin’! All but 3 or 4 of your shots were easy, though 😂

I’d back you against any of the 700-730 guys I play with. And you would dominate the 600s.

Thanks I do feel like I have improved some. I’ve really been working on some of my flaws. I’ve known for a long time what my biggest one was but at my age it’s just hard to have the desire to actually work hard enough to fix especially when you’ve been playing that way for years.

Just like how Willie Mosconi used to cheat by shooting all easy shots:LOL:

I think you're right 650 was a conservative estimate.

I just know he's way better than I am.

Curious, what is your biggest flaw? Nothing stood out to me in that video.
Not my biggest but I started with my break about 6-8 months ago. Not trying for more power just more consistency. You can see in the video it wasn’t the best. The second rack I scratch in the side just because I didn’t hit the one ball where I needed to. When my cue ball goes to the left off the head ball I didn’t hit where I was aiming. Playing the ghost it’s not huge because you get bih and as long as the balls scatter out is all that matters.

My biggest flaw was I have always had a problem staying still on the shot. I played pretty good but missed a lot of shots simply because I was moving when I would shoot. I’ve been working on it probably 3-4 months now and it’s a lot better but I have days where I still struggle.

When it gets to where I feel a little more comfortable with it I need to work on my defense. One step at a time.

Well I was fortunate that I didn’t really have any balls tie up and I didn’t dog any easy shots which we all do on occasions.

my fargorate is still all over the place. I was 2 and out a few weeks ago or maybe won 1 against a 400 went from 478 down to 472. Now after the tournament about a week ago without playing anyone real strong. I played a low 600. He won 1-4.(please no opinions on this one. He B&R 2 on me.)Then I beat up on 2 300s and a low 400(9-1) then played 2 550’s ending up 5-5 against them. . went up from 472 to 482. So my fargorate still seems to have a lot of wiggle room at 479 games and I didn’t do very good against the higher handicaps in this one.

That’s just a reference to fargorate movement at under 500 games. Nothing more nothing less
i think you might have replied to the wrong person.

Oh that reminds me. I made a new pool buddy last week at the tournament. We played after. He’s a 650. He won 3-2 then 3-1 then I beat him 3-2 and we decided a race to 5 for double. Got to hill/hill my break and the bar closed. He won $20. Last set was for $40. Sucks the bar closed up!. I told him and the rest of the group of high rated players I was talking with before that I’d have a better chance playing them on a 9 footer. And it’s the truth. I even stated the same about the Super Billiards expo. I’m better on a 9.

So he and I are supposed to go get some practice in on some 9’s whenever we both have time. What 650 wants to practice with someone who is almost 200 fargorate points less than themselves? I don’t know many if any. So if nothing else I must at least have potential!😘😂😉
That bar should be named and shamed, not letting you finish a hill-hill for the money.

I suppose it's possible for a player to be 100 or 150 points off, with 450 some robustness, if they play drunk and/or high every single tournament. Or just bang the balls around every time at the table. I'd have to ask though, what's the point of even entering tournaments at that point? Just go to a banger bar with quarters on the table and play for drinks/shots/kisses with the gals/whatever floats your boat:)

You seem like you are serious about the game, even though you like to have a good time. When I've played in situations like that, maybe a bit high/tipsy/pretty gals around and flirting, I still played close to my normal game.
