Yes the 61 yr old lady did!!

Thats why the lady bought ,big player- and she' getting plenty from it. I did't swindle her and never would. I will take a small amount for shipping, posting. I have a clean conscious and always will. thanks to all who have viewed, and Pm- I'm waiting for a reply- and Cue could be sold. Mark

Your pics are better than hers. If it wasn't for the fact she wouldn't price it, and her original write up was confusing on many levels, she probably did herself a disservice by her own evaluation.

Nice early Gina.

That's a nice way early Gina. What do you mean by

"Comes in the reg. old style Black box case too."

Do you have pics of this case?

Thanks

Kevin

Wow, interesting Craigslist story. There is a lot I didn't know about the master "Gina". First off, I didn't know his name was Gina. Or that he started making cues in San Francisco in 1976. Or that he didn't retire, but everyone thought he had died when he really went into rehab for 20 years before he surfaced again.

Gina - the man, the myth, the legend.

Its always good to get the facts. The treatment that Gina guy got was to his cash. His wallet got way "cured" during that "retirement" and he (or she) came back to cue building with a vengeance.

Must have been a long bus ride for you from your (?) Grandparents in the Valley up to San Fran to see Gina. Too bad you didn't get any of that turquoise or black onyx in yours or it might be worth more than the pittance I've been offering you.

That's a nice old Gina.

The woman who owned the cue says in the Craiglist ad:

The fitting was loose and "The Bohemian" replaced it with steel instead of the original Onyx.

I imagine the "Onyx" she is referring to is the black phenolic rings?, but the only steel I see in the cue is the joint, so is she saying the joint was replaced? That hardly makes sense because the original joint couldn't have been phenolic (or Onyx for that matter). I guess understanding what she meant by the wrap being refurbished would also be of interest.

Could you take a look at the insert of the Gina shaft and see if that is brass or steel?

Too bad about the case, a Gina case would have been a find.

Thanks again

Kevin
