What do you think the probability is that the NCAA will strip Michigan of the National Championship title? 70% they will strip, 50-50, or something like 99% will not strip?

Also - I love the irony of both parties being upset about mud being slung at their family on social media, and Oscar's wife is in the comment section talking about all the breaks Johnny has gotten in life and how he's squandered them through poor decision making. Probably true, probably not her place to be talking about it.

Everybody is money hungry.

We know Archer is a broke joke. So Oscar should just let it slide because the chances of getting paid by Johnny is close to zero but social media pressure for 6.5k? Really?

6.5k is not much to go through this shit. Let it slide. No money was lost out of Oscar's pocket.

Perhaps the backers are pressuring Oscar to get the money?

100% not strip. It's over. It's the most over-hyped scandal in the history of sports. "Fairness" in college sports is an illusion anyway. One that the NCAA doesn't really want to deal with, especially in the current environment.
 
Whether or not Johnny pull himself up from his bootstraps and fulfill his promise and do right by Oscar as he's promised remains to be seen, I sincerely hope that's the case. With regard to all this hostility toward him on this forum I can only say this. I'm not a man of the cloth but doesn't it say somewhere in scripture "Let he without sin cast the first stone!'

FTR, I am so out of the loop with anything this thread has discussed.
1.) I never knew JA and OD ever played a $$$ match where OD got stiffed.
2.) I never even knew that JA and his wife had split up.
3.) i never knew that JA was not only flat broke, but despised by many people in the pool world (at least on AZB).

I guess I oughta get out more???

Archer is not despised by many people, imo. There are a handful of people shouting “holier than thou” from the treetops on FB. The rest I don’t think are worried too much about a pool debt.
 
Johnny Archer was my pool hero growing up.

Shame on his wife for betraying him. Johnny is a great man and father.

Should Johnny have paid? Yes.

But the money should have been posted. Oscar has been around long enough to know better.

another one who doesn't understand the internet. oscar can hardly stop his fans from making johnny jokes on facebook

for the record i agree with basementdweller. a man deserves a chance to right his wrongs. JA should work the exhib/teaching scene if he can't get a job and make a payment plan

90% of the bullying is due to 2 or 3 of Oscar's friends who weaponized their social media followers and sent them after Johnny
