You know what, Jim? You're right. I had him on ignore. In fact I have had him on ignore twice. I never keep anybody on my ignore list for very long unless its a Fast Larry incarnation, and I know Mike isn't Larry.

Just because someone is on ignore, doesn't mean that you won't see their posts - someone always quotes them. So much for the ignore list.

Contrary to what you may think about what is going on, it is not bullying.

I have corresponded with DCP on this forum for many years. We have had conversations on the phone in the past. Over the past few months I become increasingly annoyed with his posts, where he loves to play the victim. It's old. It's been old for a very very long time.

I have not always gotten along with Russ Chewning. Ask him. We don't agree on every topic, but we have come to a mutual respect for each other and we have put aside our past differences as if they never occurred. In fact, I can't wait til he gets back here so we can hit a few tournaments here in Florida and the Southeast.

I am firmly convinced that DCP purposely tries to annoy others on this forum with his posts. Its not accidental. For a time I defended the guy and the questions that he asked.

One day I woke up and noticed

A) that he asked questions
B) he received answers
C) he challenged the answers and the people that provided them in an attempt to keep the threads going
D) Just like in this thread, he'll use one thread to start 2 or 3 sub threads that deal with sub-issues of the original thread.

I completely understand that you believe that we are all ganging up on him. We're not.

Believe it or not, DCP is quite capable of taking care of himself and fighting his own battles, even if he doesn't realize it most of the time.

I understand and respect your above views.

Regards,
Jim

but there are certain posters...without mentioning any names...who are more or less "helpless" than others so there is an element of "picking on someone our own size."

Just my $0.02 and given with great respect.

Jim

Okay.

I promise not to pick on anyone that weighs less than 200 pounds.

Okay. I lied.

205, maybe 210.

:p

ATTN. posters on this forum:

STOP picking on me. All I'm trying to do here is get a rise outta people since I can't really find any other way to get attention! I have found that being completely annoying, mentioning cues that I know others detest, and arguing with anyone that actually does try to give me sound advice is the best way to get more replies. So, please, if I annoy you enough to wanna kick me in the throat, post it here, so that the thread gets EVEN MORE replies. That's all I'm asking for.......now, I gotta go see if I can make 2 balls in a row with the FABULOUS S.S.T. shaft, which BTW, is cutting edge technology, and only available with/for CUETEC cues. Nah, not really, I'm gonna sit right here and read every single little reply until I get a nut off......

SHEESH!!!

As it is.. I NOT going to lay off you. If I get banned, I get banned.

You better stop it or I am going to punch me.

LOL.... DCP.... Saying I'd "probably want to" slash your tires, or kick yer arse is not the same as actually saying I am "going" to slash your tires, or kick yer arse. Desire versus intent is the key, my man... But I wouldn't expect you to be smart enough to see the difference.

Russ,

As a former military guy you can probably appreciate this. I suspect it has happened more than once but this occasion was in Hawaii many moons ago. A captain was a nonstop irritation to everyone under him. Some didn't try to hide it as much as others.

One day an enlisted man looked at the Capt. "You would probably have me court marshaled if I called you a SOB wouldn't you"

"Yes I would."

"You couldn't do much if I just thought it though could you?"

"No, I guess not . . . ."

"I think it!"

Heh heh......

Bad things happen to people who intentionally irritate others for no reason.. Case in point:

In AIT, (post boot camp training on your specific job, for those who don't know) a drill sergeant was in charge of a company of soldiers who had two different job titles. One of the jobs was Cable Dawgs, i.e. soldiers who just ran cables from one place to another, climbed up poles, etc.. It was only 6 weeks of training. The other was Automated Tactical Switch Maintainer/Operator. This course was 7 months long.

This drill Sergeant treated everyone "almost" like they were still in boot camp. Making them roll around in the sand, doing push ups for minor things, calling formation on weekends for all-day barracks cleaning sessions, exercising the whole company (smoking them) for hours at a time, for the infraction of one person. There was more freedom than in boot camp, but not much more when he was on duty.

This is all well and good if you have to only get through 6 weeks of it, but for those of us in the 7 month course, this was all getting a bit old. We went to the CO and told him we perfectly understood the need to instill further discipline in the troops after basic training, but thought that seven months of such discipline was counter-productive, and leading to a decrease in morale in those who had the longer training cycle.

CO told us to "suck it up and drive on". A week later, the drill sergeant's very small car mysteriously got removed from its parking spot, turned sideways, and inserted between two parked cars that noone seemed to know who they belonged to.

After that, soldiers were divided into two different companies, one for long training cycles, with more laid back drill sergeants, and one for short cycles, with more..."intense" drill sergeants. :D

I'm not encouraging anyone to stalk DCP at that WPBA event, I'm just saying.. "Bad things happen to irritating people sometimes.." Just a friendly warning to DCP, so he can watch his back.. Heh heh..

Hey, if he wants to totally cut himself off from the billiard community, then so be it. He just virtually insures that he will never be able to introduce himself as his screen name at any gathering, for fear of...repercussions. Seems kind of sad to me.

I've had disagreements with a few on the forums. Have made up with some of them... Some, I haven't, because they don't wish to. Overall, I think I'd have a pretty good time at any meeting of AZ'ers.. I don't know if the same would be true of DCP, unless he chose to keep that persona hidden.

Hope in one hand... Take a big ole crapola in the other.....

Eh... I'm sure you've heard the rest of that saying.......

Russ

(Thinks DCP must be a very lonely guy. No way he has a significant other AND the time to bait people endlessly on the internet. Then again, when a woman calls him for a booty call, and he has to ask for advice from US.. Well, now you know why he is a lonely guy..:D)

DCP reminds me of an old house cat that I had many years ago. the cat was always being chased by the dog. Mom was always scolding the dog for doing this......

one day I finally got Mom to realize that the cat started most of the chases. he would sit on a fench post and screech and squawl until the dog would come around. then he would jump off the post and the chase was on...

DCP needs attention and controversy to feel important. and, we give it to him and he whines to get more attention. it's a viscious cycle of us enabling his need.

let everyone ignore his inane and redundant posts for a month to see if he gets his kicks elsewhere. ;)

Yeah....Attention Moderators

Shouldn't this thread be posted in the NPR forum?????

Moderators can you please take care of that,

Oh.....and be sure to get on the origonal starter of this thread for an obvious intentional violation of the forum rules.

Banning may be appropiate...

Thanx

I don't know why, but I find this very entertaining. I can't wait for the next one.:D

its not entertaining to me, to have someone threaten me, to try and incite people to come after me during a WPBA event. i was looking forward to going to that WPBA event in June, but with the way people on here are reacting it looks like i better think twice. i am sure the WPBA wouldnt want a scene at one of their events, that wouldnt be good for their survival.

hopefully, once again, the Moderators will step in here and put a stop to all of these threats. we may not all agree on what goes on here on this forum or the world of pocket billiards, but when someone threatens another poster, that is completely uncalled for.

DCP

You know...I have been exceedingly patient and have given you enough rope.

I am so sick and tired of the stupid drama that I could retch.

For all you have not learned, despite my warning....I am not to be triffled with.

Maybe in 6 months, you'll have a better perspective of my point of view.

See ya then.

DCP, I think that you should avoid all pool/billiard related events for a few years, just for your own safety.

Come to think of it, while you're at it, you should avoid ALL pool/billiard related activities. Including your crutch in life......aka.......AZB.

Really dude, its for your own safety and well being.

I really do care about you....:)

Now, go away.....

Russ......
