I am sorry to report that Stormin Norman Lemieux passed away yesterday. He read the forums every day just as we do and bought and sold cues for fun. Norm was a 50 ball runner and a truly honorable man. A Hopkins Expo regular, he crossed paths wih many of us, sharing a love of humor and tolerance of ohers that made the world a better place. Norm was respectful in victory and paid up when he lost. I won't forget how much my guts would hurt from laughing on our road trips to tournaments and pool rooms near his home state of Rhode Island. I'm a better man for our friendship. I'll miss him always.
 
gian i am sorry for loss...i didnt know the man but he sounded like alot of fun...may his family and friends remember the good times and make it through these tough times...

Sorry for your loss and the pool world's loss, Gian. I'm sure I knew him and probably played him a few times. God bless him.
 
So sorry for your loss, but we all know he is now happy with our Creator :)
 
Gian, I'm sorry to hear this, so sorry for your loss. My condolences to Norm's family and friends. I hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you guys shared together.

I am sad to here this, I purchased a case from Norman last year, He sent me the case after only knowing me for 10 minutes on the phone and said dont worry about paying me. After you get it , if you like it, send me the payment if not just send back the case.... we talked on the phone several times.........he will be missed......:sorry:

I'm not only Very Saddened by hearing This, But Now I Feel Very Horrible for not seeing or having any conversation with norm In a while!!! We as humans take things for granted sometimes like our friends will be there forever!!! How Life Is So Damn Short!!!! I first met Norm at the Tourney in Valley Forge, And boy did we hit off being that we both loved fine cues!!! And every year thereafter we had alot of laughs as he was just a cool cat! We also had a few deals on some high end cues and Never once did we ever have any problems!!! This guy was a Class Act!!! He was truely one of Nice guys in pool and one of The Fairest guys I knew!!!! Rest In Peace my friend, You will be truely Missed!!!! I'm very proud to have known him and call him a friend! My prayers will be with Your Family!!! Your friend in Ohio...Mario Cilitti

Norm loved to talk cues and action...and you know plenty about both. His favorite cuemaker was Gus Szamboti and Norm owned several fine Szams over the course of his life. He enjoyed talking to you about the players and cues in Dottie Starchers room out there in Akron. Remember it isn't how often you talk, but how memorable the conversation that matters. Thanks for posting and honoring Norm with your thoughts.
