This was last year's winner about me meeting SHD (whoever that is)

Okay, let's all be honest for a second -- this place isn't as good as it used to be.
Many of the posters that have been voted for so far in this thread are great but I'm sort of saddened by the direction this forum has taken in the past couple of years. Many of the more prolific posters have stopped posting and they have been replaced with younger posters who post more like they are texting...if you know what I mean.
I know what you guys are thinking -- IKR.....like totally....LOL.....brb....
I'm back...so here's to a better year and a better AZ.

3a. Cornerman--Fred's knowledge of pool and engineering makes for a great combination, and he always contributes something informative or at least witty. And after all, he did go to UMASS.
3b.--The Real Bartram--What can be said? Chris is the real thing, and cooler than the other side of the pillow.

You gotta be kidding me. The inability of this forum to come out of a 1950s timewarp, and reinvent itself as somewhere attractive to a younger crowd, is its major failing.
I cringe at half the threads on here. The nostalgic backslapping is nauseating, and the more america becomes isolated and left behind, the worse it becomes. Pool in america (and this forum) has NO CHANCE until you ditch the dinosaurs.
