Everyone should just ignore him and not give him any games/action. It's not worth the aggravation. Whoopee shit..he can play pool(he should cause that's all he does). He has a repulsive/repugnant nature. Anyone that gives him action should be shot(manner of speaking)
Man up to what?
No need to get your panties in a twist. Did you pay twice this weekend to see such a repulsive guy play that made you so angry lol?
Once again, I'll ask it.... exactly what aggravation? Specifically, from this weekend? Was Earl WAY out of line, any more so than any of us face virtually every night of the week in the pool rooms we go to?
Are the pro's soooooo sensitive that they can't fade a little distraction in the room? You know, like the things Earl goes off about in the crowd, but apparently is OK when it happens to him.
I'm not justifying poor behavior, but people act as though Earl got up and started running around the table with his hair on fire while JA was trying to shoot.
I understand that Earl has done some crazy and unsportsmanlike stuff in the past. But other than Day 1 of the SVB/5x10 match, what has he done in the last month of FANTASTIC pool to deserve all the venom? That was one day. It hasn't reoccurred to that level since, as I understand it from the reports I have read.
MAYBE, just maybe, he's trying to get it sorted out, enough to decrease the instances of it happening. He sure sounded like he was aware of it in the awesome Day 1 video CaliRed provided for all of us...
Here's hoping Earl is making progress handling whatever is causing all the problems, and that he can play at his current AWESOME level without making too much of a disruption.
Because the game is better with him in it.
I always base my assumptions on if I had to gamble with this particular kind of person. Can you imagine having to gamble with someone like that, or both? It would be aggravating to have to fade and I wouldn't fade it ..so in a real life situation it would aggravate me. IMO all this isn't real but more of a hook to entertain a certain type of people like the Jerry Springer Show that bases its entertainment toward a certain common denominator of the pool world. It's a rig to me. Not everyone likes to watch a Jerry Springer Show . .
I'd never pay to watch him play as I'm more interested in the game than the other game going on. I'm not angry as my world doesn't revolve him.. What I don't like and fear is that people will try to emulate his other game which is most likely the case. It's like the weather report around here with the same weather every day. .
They were road partners so I don't give this show a second thought. On the one hand you have the slow playing lint picker and in the other you have the Charlie Sheen of pool. If that lifts your skirt, so be it. That's not my kind of excitement/entertainment. There's alot bigger pool world out here than that one. In real life, those 2 kinds of players are the ones I couldn't give any kind of attention to. IMO these matches aren't real anyway. It's just for all the ducks who will pay to see it. They travel all around the country trying to make a couple thousand whatever it was they were trying to make and suddenly there's all these 10,000 bills put up to see them play. You think there's any business going on? Think about it in your spare time .

In the 14.1, Earl had an 8 ball skid on him for a miss, and he missed a 5 ball combo out of the pack, and the one ball, the one he called, caught the points. Yeah, that's really a rigged match.:thud::slap:
At the risk of repeating myself (again), was Earl putting on a Jerry Springer-esque performance this past weekend? I didn't see the match. I haven't heard of any crazy disturbances from this match, or since Day 1 of the TAR20 match.
And to address your question, I don't gamble (playing pool) so I cannot imagine your dilemma. I play leagues and small tournaments, and the room is never quiet when I play. People are always walking around, every direction. Phones are ringing, TV's are playing, people are talking, players are whooping it up after winning or crying about missing a shot...
I am quite sure each and every person on this forum plays in this environment, at least occasionally. (Except for those with their own tables at home who don't play out any more.) So perhaps I'm a bit confused as to furor displayed in these threads. Once again, I don't condone poor sportsmanship, or acting disruptive. Once again, I haven't read any accounts of Earl acting that way beyond Day 1 of TAR20.
You know Neil, Earl expected the skid. LOL:grin:
There was no way either of them dropped this match.
They might of agreed to split the prize money but that's doubtful.

They could split the money in any match where they have a backer too though right? Juat sayin. Any game/match can be manipulated. Its maybe best to give the benefit of the doubt unless you were in the hotel room 10 mins after the match and saw it happen. Pretty negative of you.,
It doesn't matter how close the game was or who won it's all about giving the ducks a good show so they'll be wanting more . .
