Bad review for Diamond

I love diamiond tables, but I don't like their rack at all. After a while, the black paint starts chipping off, and as with any wooden rack, dents occur where the balls hit the sides. I got a delta rack, and that matched with a diamond table is about as perfect as it gets for me. I'm surprised delta and diamond haven't teamed up yet.

I think that you guys just have bad timing, wait until Derby is over.

IMO Diamond Billiards should be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. What happened to the OP is inexcusable, and we should not try to make excuses for Diamond. They should have enough Business sense to be set up to take care of their responsibilities at the DCC and their everyday customer service duties. In this economy every customer is a precious commodity not to be squandered.

TAP TAP TAP... good post sir, i couldnt agree with you more

It's not the $$$ as I talked with Brian a year ago about getting replacement access panel keys for my diamond(this way I don't have to take off the rail system and slide the slate sideways to get out the hot wheels and tennis balls my son puts down the holes!!!) He asked me for a serial # for the right keys. I wasn't at home at the time to get him this information. So he sent me a whole slew of keys that might work. I got the right ones and I called him back to thank him and ask him what I owed, he replied "Nothing, enjoy your table!"

+1 to Diamond

About the OP's situation, if there isn't anyone to handle his order then the receptionist should probably let him know instead of giving false hopes by continuing to transfer him to "The sales Guy".

If you go with the lower priced Delta-13 rack (@$40) it also doubles as a dinner-bell!!!

Maniac

Maybe I should get one then, I have been needing to get a dinner-bell. That way, when I'm down in the basement playing pool I could rack um' up, walk up stairs to give my wife the dinner-bell, go back down into the basment and run out the rack, go back up stairs and get the rack, go back into the basement. On second thought, maybe I'll by two.

I told my brother that I wanted the triangle wooden rack made by Diamond for my birthday. I had no idea it would be such a pain. First off, you can't order anything online from the website which seems completely ridiculous. Secondly, my brother has put in 7 phone calls to Diamond. Each time the receptionist says that she'll transfer him to this other guy in sales. 5 voicemails have been left for this guy without 1 response. The receptionist says that she cannot take the order and it has to go through this sales guy who refuses to return our phone calls.

Should it be this freaking hard to order a $40 rack?!! Maybe that's the reason I'm getting the runaround, because I'm only placing a $40 order. If that's the case then make it so you can buy products online. I was so frusturated with the situation I just told my brother to go to pooldawg and get the delta 13 rack. It's not my first choice but at least you could buy it without all the hassle. Diamond billiards makes great pool tables but in my experience their customer service leaves something to be desired.

I did a little background check into your complaint about Diamond. First of all...calls for orders placed during Diamonds Christmas holidays...get taken when Diamond comes back off their holiday vacation...like the message says on the recording...which is played before you can leave a message. Second, Diamond did return your call....and left you a message to call in, place your order with Debbie...the receptionist, and she'd process your order and sales would ship out your ball rack....but, buddy...you have to return the call to make that happen. I've known these guys working in sales at Diamond ever since they started working there....so, please...get the story straight from your brother Brian, this drama is uncalled for...Diamond did their job...correctly;)...the communication breakdown...was with your brother NOT calling back in to place the order...AFTER Aaron returned his call;) ordering something from Diamond...is NOT like driving through the Burger King drive through, and placing your order for food...if it were...you'd still be hungry...because of lack of communication!

PS. Your brother Brian...was called back more than once, and a message was left to call Diamond back...so they could process his order:rolleyes:
