Bar Table Champions

Chris, I appreciate your wanting to do something, but Jason may not be acceptable as a substitute for Donnie. He is a well known bar table champion, certainly rated over either Glenn or Stan or Edwin.
i will take john mora as a partner

not true donny will not go to reno he will not fly i think we have so much the best of this game one of the best games ill ever get.
Knock him out like MR. T on the A Team and get him there.

John Morra seems like a more than fair replacement for Donny.

Is this full inning partners or every other shot?

That sounds more acceptable. Let me see what we can do on this end. Glenn has a good backer. Not sure about Stan or Edwin. If they agree to play then we can get into the format. Would $2,500 a man be acceptable to you in one long race?

Alternating shots would be fantastic to watch!

Sorry to hear Donny doesn't like to fly. I apologize for accusing you of trying to get a better player. I see you have chosen John Mora as the second player which Jay has accepted.

I like your attitude in creating action which is one of many reasons your a world class player. I would like to see this matchup happen.

i love reno

Definite contender for understatement of the year. You have more gamble than any other 2 pros I know combined, and I know a couple, lol.

I think you actually moved down there Chris. Donnie is getting the short end of respect for some reason. It must be because he doesnt travel. Those of us in the know understand that he is one hell of a strong player against not only unknown players but also top pros. He doesnt seem to have any problem with anyone of them that travels through FL, and that is on 9ft tables. I have found it much easier to go to the barboxes from a 9ftr than the other way around.

A few years back Jamie Farrel in New Orleans lost even to lil jon Macias on the bar box but was beating him giving the 6 on the big table...Jamie shoots real straight & has a high gear on the big table but his game slides way down on the barbox.

Exactly what I was talking about. I wasn't saying every Top Pro, but some of them lose a little when moving to something so easy. And for anyone who don't believe there is another Weldon sneaking around the country somewhere, well, we might never know. There are some guys who won't look for a big score. When Weldon first came thru here, he was playing $10 9-ball with a friend of mine. Wasn't looking to score big. It took me almost a year to find out who he was and just a little about his speed.

In the mid 80's, in Ft. Wayne, the strip club I used to go gamble at, had a 6 foot bar box. One size smaller than a standard Valley table. I took a few guys over to it and played some 8 ball. Talk about clusters!!!!!!! It made a world of difference in the game.

Sorry Chris

who is billy?

I was doing paperwork while switching back and forth reading here. Guess this guy I'm doing this Satellite system for will be a bit shocked. Hope he can make a few balls to help you out.
I meant Donny......

Why does Donnie not travel? He claims he can beat all these players, yet will not travel for a 10k set? Just seems a little nitty to me.

He doesn't like to fly! Somebody could always bring everyone down to Fl for this matchup, there is a nice room in Donny's area(Hammerheads on US 19)that has about 10 or 12 diamond 7fters & 12 diamond 9fters , you could play there! And the locals would provide plenty of side action!
Just a thought!

Omg

Instroke75 - You look like my son, enough to be his brother .... LOL

Sorry, but don't like to fly sounds like a pussy excuse. Flying is safer travel than in a car. I would tell him to either get off the pot or s**t.

Satman - Who is the Weldon you spoke of, only Weldon I know of was Weldon Rogers from Oklahoma.

he does not need the money

Yeah, that's it. Nobody needs an extra 10k to throw around. I'm not even a shortstop, but I would play him in Florida but I'm not going to fly, drive, walk, take a train, or a horse and buggy to play. And by the way, John Schmidt seems to have gotten very hateful in the past few weeks. Why such sarcasm and hatefulness in the sunshine state?

#1- Donnie has a serious fear of flying. No excuse, it's just as simple as that...

#2- Donnie is no pussy when it comes to matching up with good or champion players. You just have to go to Florida to do it... See #1.

#3- Donnie works for a living, pool isn't his job... How many working stiffs do you know that call out champions to play? See #2.
