Bartrum vs. D' Alfonso - Round Two!

Chris comes up dry on the break but doesn't leave much. Tommy tries a safety, but the one ball goes four rails around the table and ends up where Chris can make it in the corner pocket. Leaves himself a tough shot on the two into the side pocket. Bad angle. He hits it perfectly and is straight in on the three in the same pocket. Doesn't look like any problems with the remaining balls. Four ball into the same side pocket and pretty good on the five. A little more angle than he probably wanted though. Shoots the five nicely into the corner pocket. Shoots the six into the corner pocket and comes back off the rail to fall nicely on the seven. The seven bobbles a bit, but falls. Easy shot on the eight and he gets pretty good on the nine. OK, I stay until either Tommy wins a game or until Chris runs out the set! Chris is up by SEVEN.

Chris makes three balls on the break. I think he is energized by having won the last few games and may have the end in sight. Chris makes a long, nice shot on the one to fall on the three for the corner pocket. Makes the three and is straight in on the four in the side. Now straight on the five in the corner. He is playing faster. Maybe too fast as he over draws his cue ball past where he wanted to be on the eight and now has a very tough shot on the eight. Thin cut on the eight into the side. Smoothly strokes it right in and then the nine into the same pocket. He's feelin' it! Chris by 8 games.
 
Again makes three balls on the break. And has an easy shot on the one ball. Hits it very nicely and draws across for the two into the same pocket. The three is right in front of the other corner pocket. No problems. Kills his rock over to the rail for a straight in shot on the seven ball. Follows forward a few inches and is good on the eight. A routine shot on the nine coming up. He...............................................m...........................akes it. Chris by NINE GAMES!
 
Two balls fall on the break, but no shot on the one. He can hit it however. Wait, maybe it will go in the corner. I can't tell even though I am right behind the shot. He looks at the balls from every angle. Gets down, gets back up. Gets down, gets back up. Gets down....shoots the one toward the nine, I guess a safety attempt. But Shorty can see the one as it sits by the side pocket. Very thin into the side. Tons of reverse english to come back for the two. Cue ball almost scratches. It is hanging in the jaws!. Tommy cuts in the twe gently and is on the three, but almost straight in. The five is across the table on the rail. Tommy hits the three with high inside english and floats over to the five. Fires in the five and with cue ball close to the rail, is almost straight in on the seven. Rolls in the seven but comes up a little short of good position on the eight. Shoots the eight and goes back and forth two rails across the table to get perfect on the nine. Chris by EIGHT. OK, two more games and I am OUT OF HERE.

Just wanted to make a joke, there happens to be alot of mad people posting on here lately.

Tommy breaks. If he comes all the way back, this would have to rank as one of the better comebacks for sure. Anyway, he breaks, as I said. And what happened? (Good thing I am retired and don't have to get up for work in the morning.) Here's what happened on the break. Nothing fell. Chris is hooked on the one ball. Nope, he wasn't hooked because he shot it into the rail and down table for a safety. But Tommy can see the one. And puts a safety on Chris. Chris kicks one rail and makes the one which was very near a corner pocket. Chris cuts the two into the corner and leaves himself a diagonally table length shot on the three. He makes it, but is a little tough on the four. He cuts in the four and goes two rails up and down the table to try to get on the five. Has to use a bridge at this point. It's a pretty tough little cut on the five. He doesn't try to make it but plays a safety instead. Tommy is on the end rail almost and the five is about eight feet away with a small cut into the corner pocket. Tommy misses this tough shot and leaves Chris easy on the five. But will the six go past the eight into the other corner. No. Chris makes the five and hits into the six trying to create a makeable shot. Nothing here but a tough bank on the six or a safety. Chris makes a GREAT shot on the six, banking it into the side pocket and spins the cue ball three rails for shape on the seven. The eight was easy and he is straight in on the nine. Chris is up by NINE GAMES and the next game is my last one. Sorry.

Another three rail follow shot leave him a shot on the five that is no sure thing, but the way Chris has been shooting he should make it. Takes his time, gets back up off the shot. Looks at it again. Back down on the shot and it goes in smoothly. Has a nice angle on the seven to come back across the table for the eight. Again a nice little angle to come off the rail for the nine. Looks like I made it after all. Eight ball goes in the corner and Chris has just MADE THE NINE. Match over. Thank God!
